Swords Dance Ogerpon-W poses a major threat to most bulky cores in the CAP metagame thanks to its STAB combination boosted even further by Terastallization, ability to set up on many foes enhanced by Embody Aspect's Special Defense boost, and Knock Off to threaten its few counters such as Kitsunoh and Mollux. Power Whip allows Ogerpon-W to hit foes such as Snaelstrom, Arghonaut, and Cresceidon that otherwise take Ivy Cudgel with ease. Knock Off lets Ogerpon-W make its two biggest counters far more reticent of switching in - both Kitsunoh and Mollux hate losing their Heavy-Duty Boots and taking a +2 Knock Off, leaving them in a bind as to whether they should come in.
