[OVERVIEW]
Crobat's great defensive typing provides it with many notable resistances and an immunity, which enables it to check premier threats such as Zarude, Heracross, and Mienshao. Its high Speed stat and use of Heavy-Duty Boots provide it with many opportunities to clear away entry hazards with Defog and pivot out of unfavourable matchups with U-turn. Crobat also has the potential to run stallbreaking sets that can bypass Pokemon like Cobalion, Milotic, and Sylveon. Crobat depends upon Heavy-Duty Boots for most of its defensive utility and is vulnerable to Knock Off from Mienshao and Heracross. Crobat also has a tough matchup against common Stealth Rock setters like Metagross, Rhyperior, Seismitoad, and Necrozma, which prevent it from being able to consistently remove Stealth Rock. Crobat is very suspectible to Electric-types like Raikou, Xurkitree, and Heliolisk, and it faces stiff competition with Noivern, which can chip Steel-types like Steelix and Metagross with Flamethower and use Draco Meteor against prominent Electric-types and Rock-types such as Raikou, Toxtricity, and Rhyperior.

[SET COMMENTS]
U-turn capitalizes on Crobat's high Speed stat and keeps momentum for the team. Defog helps provide Crobat's team with entry hazard control. Alternatively, Taunt can be run to shut down defensive Pokemon like Body Press Registeel and Sylveon. Toxic can be used in conjunction with Taunt at the sacrifice of U-turn to wear down Pokemon like Milotic, Seismitoad, and Umbreon. Crobat fits mainly on bulky offense and balance teams, which benefit from its natural longevity from Heavy-Duty Boots and ability to keep up momentum for its team. Wallbreakers such as Choice Band Rhyperior, Heracross, and Toxtricity can take advantage of U-turn and force out many of Crobat's checks, including Nasty Plot Togekiss, Reuniclus, and Diancie. Ground-types such as Steelix, Rhyperior, and Seismitoad prevent Electric-types such as Raikou, and Xurkitree from constantly gaining momentum with Volt Switch, while Crobat can take care of common Grass- and Fighting-types like Zarude, Mienshao, and Heracross. Crobat still struggles against bulky Steel-types like Seismic Toss Registeel, Steelix, and Metagross, so partners like the aforementioned Rhyperior as well as Water-types like Milotic and Seismitoad are beneficial. Knock Off absorbers like Colbur Berry Galarian Slowbro and Cobalion help neuter Crobat's weakness to the move. Other pivots like Zarude, Raikou, Darmanitan, and Xurkitree can form a VoltTurn core to create momentum for Crobat's team and benefit from hazards being removed so they can constantly pivot around.

Other Options
=============
Super Fang turns Crobat into a stallbreaker that can wear down bulky Steel-types like Registeel and Metagross. Poison Fang can chip down Electric-types as well as Togekiss while having the possibility to weaken checks with Toxic. Nasty Plot can be run alongside special moves such as Sludge Bomb, Hurricane, Heat Wave, and Giga Drain to pressure checks to physical Crobat like Steelix, Zygarde-10%, Seismitoad, and Rhyperior, but Crobat's Special Attack is very mediocre, leaving it outclassed by other special sweepers like Nasty Plot Togekiss and Reuniclus.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Super Effective Attackers**: Common Electric- and Rock-types such as Raikou, Xurkitree, and Rhyperior resist Brave Bird and can easily KO Crobat with their STAB moves.
**Faster Threats**: Choice Scarf users such as Heracross, Darmanitan, and Gardevoir can easily threaten Crobat by KOing it or pivoting as it's forced out.
**Steel-types**: Steel-types such as Metagross, Steelix, and Stakataka are only bothered by Super Fang and can use Crobat to set Stealth Rock up.
**Bulky Setup Pokemon**: Crobat struggles with breaking past bulky Pokemon like Galarian Slowbro, RestTalk variants of Suicune, and Snorlax, though they don’t appreciate being hit with Taunt.
