Part 24
Okay, I must revise: the grind technically isn't over because I forgot to evolve Gothorita, for some reason thinking it evolved with a Dusk Stone. I mean, it looks like it should. Anyway, it's not such a tough one to raise, and only needs a few levels. Getting a Gothitelle is reasonably quick.
So that's that done - now it's time to round out the rest of the dex with the last few Pokemon I need, all of whom are extremely easy to get hold of.
First, I make three trades with NPCs: Petilil for Cottonee, Boldore for Emolga, and Mincinno for Basculin. Then I change the season and go hunting for a Stunfisk, which I somehow missed earlier.
Now it's time to do some stone evolutions! Namely:
Pansage into Simisage
Munna into Musharna
Cottonee into Whimsicott
Petilil into Lilligant
Panpour into Simipour
Lampent into Chandelure
Eelektrik into Eelektross
Pansear into Simisear
Minccino into Cinccino
Just one Pokemon left I need to physically catch: a certain inelegant Rock-type. To Victory Road I go, after buying about 30 Timer Balls.
I approach Terrakion and engage it in battle, paralysing it on the first turn with Eelektross as usual and whittling it down to the red. I have a few Great Balls left and start chucking them in earnest while throwing Ghost-types into battle to get as many free turns as possible. None do the trick, though, so I turn to my stock of Timer Balls and... eventually (very eventually) succeed. All four of the Swords caught. Now into the box with you forever, Terrakion.
So now there's only a handful of Pokemon left, all of which cannot be natively caught and must be traded. But I'll end this part for now and detail them in the final and concluding post!
Pokedex total: 149
I missed out counting Golett in an earlier post (blame tiredness and my general crap-ness with numbers) so add one on here.
