Finally
I'm glad to announce that the RBY cloning glitch makes a return in 4th gen games, at last it is possible to clone event pokémon without the need of an AR, and this is done by trading two of your Pokémon via Local wireless connection (works) or Nintendo WFC (seems to work better than local trade at least for me).

Cloning trick
Having myself successfully cloned a Kirlia and Mew (event) I decided to make a video about how to clone thanks to this trick, and the target here is Jirachi (event)
Risks
It seems no risk is involved concerning save file data but we never know so this is my task to warn you : nobody other than yourselves will be responsible in case of deleted data / pokémon / save file, if that happens it's because YOU choose to try the glitch. (note that this isn't meant to sound harsh)
Difficulty
What I didn't saw at first is that this cloning glitch is really really difficult to pull off, it is even harder than I initially though.
On a difficulty scale that goes from 1 to 10, I would put this one a 7 / 10 which means hard but not impossible.
Items needed
So yeah if you have only one DS and no Wi-Fi and no AR, you're kinda screwed.
Explanation
If you are playing HG or SS, put the pokémon you want to trade at the lead position, not compulsory.
Go on a Pokémon Center and go to Wi-Fi Club at the basement (talk to the woman at the middle)
Now for the example :
Once the trade is done, the two DS will display the following message :"Communicating. Please stand by ..." and then a clock will appear.
Shut down one of the two DS when the clock has done 4 turns + 3/8 of the 5th turn (or 4,375 turns)**
But what DS do you have to turn off ?
The DS (DS2 here) who hasn't been turned off should display a communication error, press A, and your character should reappear in front of the Wi-Fi Club woman.
Turn on the other DS (DS1 here), once you have passed the title screen, here are the 3 possible results :
**It may vary a tiny bit but sticking with this value is usually the best bet if you want to succeed.
!!!
This cloning method have an somewhat low success rate.
You probably know how frustrating it was sometimes to attempt a cloning in the GTS in DP, it is akin to the frustration felt when attempting (and failing) the cloning glitch by trading.
Uses
This has a huge benefit however, we can now transfer event Pokémon via Poké Transfer in BW without worry and still conserve said Pokémon in 4th gen games.
EDIT : Thanks to CanadiEntei for confirming than the glitch works in local union room as well.

Items needed
- Two DS (any type)*
- Wi-Fi connection
- Godly patience ! (I can assure you that if you're not lucky, you're sooo going to need it or you can already give up)

Explanation
If you are playing HG or SS, put the pokémon you want to trade at the lead position, not compulsory.
Go on a Pokémon Center and go to Wi-Fi Club at the basement (talk to the woman at the middle)
Now for the example :
- say on DS1 I want to trade Mew
- say on DS2 I want to trade Rattata
- Now in both DS connect to the Wi-Fi Club, once you are in go to trade
- Both Mew and Rattata are being traded
Once the trade is done, the two DS will display the following message :"Communicating. Please stand by ..." and then a clock will appear.
Shut down one of the two DS when the clock has done 4 turns + 3/8 of the 5th turn (or 4,375 turns)**
But what DS do you have to turn off ?
- Before the trade Mew was on DS1 and Rattata was on DS2
- After the trade Mew is on DS2 and Rattata is on DS1
The DS (DS2 here) who hasn't been turned off should display a communication error, press A, and your character should reappear in front of the Wi-Fi Club woman.
Turn on the other DS (DS1 here), once you have passed the title screen, here are the 3 possible results :
- DS1 let you go to the menu without displaying "corrupted data" message (failure)
- DS1 displays "corrupted data" message but in DS2 the oh so-traded Pokémon is still Rattata, not Mew (failure)
- DS1 displays 'corrupted data" message and in DS2 consider that the Pokémon were successfully traded so Mew is in the DS2 party ; check the DS1 party and normally Mew should be there as well since DS1 consider that the trade failed (success)
**It may vary a tiny bit but sticking with this value is usually the best bet if you want to succeed.
