Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Discussion

I just hope it won't be too overpowered... Oh god, think about all the noobs running around with dual Desert Eagles...

-Air Drop (new customiseable killstreak)
-Multiple Attachments (sigh)

Also, I'm amped up about how tactical the Riot Shield looks. They had the riot guy run in front of the flag guy and as the enemy tried dealing with him, the flag guy picked everyone off. The best part is that at the Xbox live forums, some kid claimed that a guy at Gamestop had told him that there were throwing knives in the game, and we just thought he was a troll, until this was released.
 
CTF on this looks so fun with riot shields and everything. Just hope the game is balanced gun-wise (I guess MW1 kinda was even though a lot of people whored the M16.) Going to await a review before purchase to be honest, Forza 3, maybe Halo ODST come before this for me so eh.

I presume the airdrop is a supply drop that is dropped onto the battlefield and gives you are your team mates ammo, grenades, weapons, etc. This is backed up by the picture that is given when the 4 kill-streak is achieved.
 
so did anyone actually preorder the night vision goggles unit? i preordered the limited ed but 150$ for a pair of (probably) shitty night vision goggles was a little too steep for me haha.

Dude tbh. I own a PS3 but the community for COD MW 2, is gonna be way bigger for the Xbox360.

Maybe you forgot Xbox360 also dropped there prices. I'm a PS3 fan, But i wana be in the bigger community wich is gonna be Xbox.

I'm not sure if im really gonna play it for Xbox or PS3. But everybody is on the Xbox now ;/. and obviously im not gonna play most games by myself for the PS3, when all my friends are playing it for Xbox.
 
Yeah, I watched something today that said it raised it to 70, just after someone completed a challenge worth 2500 exp O_o
 
Activision has got to be the worst company around. Has the most anti-consumer CEO I have ever seen in my life. Anyway, for those still interested in the PC version after this, more power to ya... No dedicated servers, no mods, matchmaking only. Fortunately I'm not a fan enough of the series to care as I never play the multiplayer anyway. Really sucks for people who like the game though.
 
Wtf apparently only 3 sniper rifles... There goes my quick scoping M40A3 career down the drain cant wait to see how clans like OpTiC and ExIle are gonna fair in the new environment.

Has anyone seen that multiplayer trailer wtf when you get hit looks like you got red sweat on your screen that aint blood! AUTOMATIC SHOTGUN AND PISTOL FTW!!!!

They won't. I've seen the reply and it's absolutely atrocious. I know Activision doesn't give a shit what players want, but I thought IW had better community engagement than this. Props to EA and DICE for capitalizing on this and reassuring everyone they won't fuck over the players in Battlefield Bad Company 2 or Battlefield 3.

The wikia says that there's at least 5, with the .50 cal and Dragunov confirmed. Either way, I think the guys on Optic will be fine, so long as they keep the Sniper mechanics the same as in Modern Warfare 1.
 
Ok I got an answer sort of, but without saying anything but what platform and why its better than the other platform, Get MW2 for PS3? or PC?

Just for your reference the specs on my laptop are
-Intel core i7 720Qm Processor
-6mb L2 cache
-1333mhz fsb
-4GB DDR3
-1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 230M Graphics

and I believe those are the only really relevant specs for playing this game.

So PS3 version or PC version. and Why? I don't want to hear shit about how its horrible, or other shooters are better.
