The biggest impact Mario Wonder had on me was Ninji Jump Party making me think "I sure wish I was playing Rayman Legends right about now!" leading me to buy the Definitive Edition and fall in love with it all over again

It's sad honestly. Most other lolcows seem incapable, but Dale genuinenly shows a lot of abiity in terms of storytelling and improvisational comedy

If he confronted his insecurities and his self-hatred, got some more education and just started appearing on stage in comedy clubs or got into writing, man would be genuinenly successful. But that's one of these what-ifs that will never happen. It's like thinking about what would've happened with Chris Chan if they were given up for adoption instead of being raised by wholly incapable parents

He's found his own sort of success, though. People pay him good money to beat him in fighting games and get banned from his stream. He's basically a professional clown. I don't know if it's actually enough income to live off of, but it seems like a pretty good deal for a guy who doesn't mind being a laughingstock for much of the Internet.

I am flying to Africa today

I saved up 10 years for that, from my teen allowance, to my first salary, to the money I got on my 23rd birthday

I hope I won't get eaten there. And if so, preferably by a hippo, they just kill. Those African spotted wild dogs, man fuck these guys, I don't want nothing from them

Aw man that's my childhood dream... Oh well, hope you have fun! Oh, and one thing, make sure to use plenty of insect repellent, you don't want the insects biting you all over.

been mine too since figuring out that giraffes AND elephants live there

don't give up on your dreams. I needed 10 years to get enough funds for this trip. But now I am writing this comment from Zimbabwe. Take baby step after baby step, even 20 dollars saved up every month can be enough for a short, pre-packaged trip where you can see elephants and lions after 5-6 years

Also, when you're down there in northern hemisphere's summer, it's winter down there. Which is great for the temps, but the sun will also go down early. Which is really weird, imagine the sun going down at 6 in... June
 
The more I think about it the more and more astounding it is that Forces is the modern Sonic fanbase's bogeyman and not Rise of Lyric. The sheer amount of damage the Boom initiative did is utterly incalculable. Usually with these franchise-derailing disaster entries they don't exist in a vacuum, i.e. if you look back far enough you find that the seeds for the crisis were planted many years prior (Battlefield 2042, Fallout 76, and of course Sonic 06 itself). No such thing for RoL. That one game genuinely pulled out the fucking anti-life equation on every scrap of good will Unleashed, Colors and Generations created and sent the talent pool that made those games what they were to the unemployment lines from the financial fallout. Forces was merely a symptom, and Frontiers was the desperate fight for survival from an essentially post-apocalyptic Sonic Team whose grossly underfunded and understaffed efforts miraculously resonated just enough with audiences to dispel the corporate notion that Sonic was a diseased bush league franchise which this game created.

I'm serious dude, I just get angrier the more I grasp the full scope of this catastrophe. It's to the point where I'm starting to resent even the Boom cartoon: I'm sorry to say it, but that show which produced those moderately funny clips I see on Youtube from time to time simply wasn't worth it. There was a time not too long ago where when asked what the dream Sonic game was, the default fan response was "Generations but with all original stages". You can thank Boom for that being just another lost future in a series filled with lost futures. But hey, I guess that clip of Knuckles critiquing feminism was totally lol xd, so let's dump the Two Minutes Hate on Infinite and all the other casualties in Forces.
 
I do not understand this phenomenon either. At least Sonic Forces was remotely functional. Isn't the problem with forces is that its levels were short and a bit bland? Another thing sonic Forces has over RoL is that the former actually looks good
With Rise of Lyric, the levels are not only bland but they are just SO AWFUL to even feast your eyes on
