Best Workout Songs

I'm on my schools rowing team and we do about 14 hours of workouts a week. Now, for this, I need a hell of a lot of motivational workout music, and right now, I'm needing some new tunes. Any suggestions?

Darude - Sandstorm
Metallica - Enter Sandman

Everyday after school I workout and listen to them and they get me pumped.

seconding Enter Sandman

Little Sister; Queens of the stone age
Hysteria; Muse
Time is Running Out; Muse
Fury of the Storm; Dragonforce
Seventeen Years; Ratatat

just try anything by Ratatat or Justice, they all work out very well... bad pun

Definitely denying Enter Sandman. Master of Puppets and Creeping Death are the type of song that make for the best work out, not Enter Sandman.

Megadeth - Holy Wars...The Punishment Due and Opeth - Blackwater Park are definitely two of the best working out songs. Thick As a Brick is actually pretty stellar if you need something long (at 43 minutes).

Of course, everyone's working out style is slightly different - I prefer songs which have a very noticable climax (like Camel - Lady Fantasy); but at worst, I expect one wants something with really powerful/deep sounds consistently through the song.

The flatliners- ...and the world files for chapter 11
Funeral For a Friend- The art of american football (their old old old shit)
I am Ghost- We are Always Searching
Iron Maiden- Aces high.

I like the high energy metal or punkish music. If it's hard and fast I can get on board, that's how I do my workouts if/when I do them.

how come anyone hasn't mentioned eye of the tiger? HEH

mercenary by firewind is a great song to workout solely because it's so speedy, i don't know if metal is your thing though!

random compilation of chilled-out/upbeat tunes:

Below Radar by Particle
Ghostwriter by RJD2
Missing by Beck
Clean Living by Rjd2
Jamming by Bob Marley
Manha Manha by Cake
Hem of your Garment by Cake
Idioteque by Radiohead (a must! really gets you pumped)
Anesthetize by Porcupine Tree (emphatically the second phase)

seconding Hysteria also

From my personal stuff that gets me pumped I recommend the following. This is a short overview of some of my stuff.

Pearl Jam
Even Flow
Once
Porch
Why Go

I usually use these when doing abs. I occasionally use Porch on the trendmill I don't know it's something about the begining of the song that gets me pumped.

Metallica
Battery
Enter Sandman
Eye of the Beholder
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Master of Puppets
Ride the Lighting
Seek and Destroy
The Four Horsemen

I use all of these a lot. My personal favorites to use on the trendmill, bench, etc is Battery, Master of Puppets, and Seek and Destory. Seek and Destory for some reason always makes me feel like the pro wrestler Sting.

Sevendust
Alpha
Angel's Son (When I am in the steam room or waiting for a ride.)
Black
Clueless
Deathstar
Denial
Driven
Enemy
Face to Face
Home
Inside
Pieces
Praise
Prodigal Son
Rumble Fish
Seasons
Suffociate
Terminator
Waffle

I'm a very big Sevendust fan I pretty much use 90% Sevendust when I am working out

We Are The Champions by Queen is a perennial classic for working out rather you like the band or not.

Here I go Again by Whitesnake always gets me pumped for some reason. Let's see here....Metallica. Disposable Heroes,Creeping Death,Trapped Under Ice. Megadeth's Holy wars the punishment due is really good. Speed metal in general works greatly for working out.

I listen to just All The Above(ft. T-pain) by Maino. It really depends on your life if you want to listen to it while lifting.
