Belly Drum in tandem with a priority move: How many pokemon can do this?

After browsing Serebii casually the only combinations that I saw were :
Hariyama (Bullet Punch)
Linoone(Extremespeed)
Smeargle(Any priority move)

Azumarill (Aqua jet) has such a combo but unfortunately it is an illegal one. Have I missed anything? And is it a decent idea to use in play?

The trick is getting the Belly Drum off. The only feasible ways I see it happening are either behind a Sub (preferrably BPed) or by predicting a switch, but truth be told, the listed pokemon don't really put enough fear to force a switch.

However, Linoone's Gluttony makes it the most susceptible to the Belly Drum. Again, the trick is pulling it off though and that itself is a challenge. High risk, but high reward imo

EDIT; errr didn't realize this wasn't a discussion about it, but well there are my thoughts nonetheless.

Hariyama does have high HP subs though. Combine that with Thick Fat to resist Ice/Fire and he can easily sub up. I don't even think he needs a Berry, lefties might do the trick. Linoone is frail but as you said, high risk and high reward.

And for the record, Azumarill has Aqua Jet but can't obtain it in the same set as Belly Drum.

Lickilicky gets Me First and Belly Drum - that basically serves the same purpose. Slowbro/slowking can learn the combination from Lickitung. So they should be included in the list.

How about this Linoone 2v2 set to attempt Belly Drum + Extreme Speed? Requires "Follow Me" on a sacrificial pokemon, and then fake-out + Fling @ King's Rock. This would be the opening moves.

Follow Me + Focus Sash on pokemon A, Linoone does Belly Drum. Pokemon A dies. Pokemon B comes out, Fake-out one of the pokemon. Linoone Extreme Speeds the other. Pokemon B Fling's a King's Rock on turn 2, Linoone Extreme Speeds another. Turn 3, Linoone takes out a 3rd pokemon before dieing. I'd say Khangeskan because he can hit ghosts with fakeout. Lol.

From that point on, you've sacrificed 2 pokemon and killed 3 and annoyed a 4th with 2 guaranteed flinch attacks. So I'd say you're doing good :-p

Actually, memento might give Linoone what it needs to belly-drum sweep. It effectively doubles Linoone's defenses. So whatever it would survive pre-belly drum, it would survive post-belly drum with memento support.

Me First is not a priority move - check the front page of the research thread. It only copies the target's move IF the user is going first (which neither Slowbro nor Lickilicky will be doing much of without Trick Room).

So if you have a zigzagoon from pokemon box (the one with extreme speed) and evolve it in D/P will it have gluttony?

Memento is the way to go for setting up Belly Drummers, though albeit a little expected. Gardevoir and Muk are two good users of the move in lower tiers, not sure about standard play. I guess Gardevoir or Gallade could pull it off to set up something.

Sorry, my mistake.

The description is rather misleading (the one in the game, I mean).

I liked the Belly drum + sitrus berry combo that were used against me on PBR. I'll try a Hariyama this way.

Just so you know, i ran a damage calculation for a burned (guts activated) belly drummed Hariyama a while ago using bullet punch against a max defense Gliscor. Did something like 130 damage. Therefore i think this isn't a good idea as a 40 base power attack is really crap.

Linoone is probably the best user of belly drum but you are better off using gluttony to take adavantage of a salac berry, it makes extremespeed unnecessary.

Guts Belly Drummed Hariyama at max Attack does 167-197 damage to max-defense Gliscor (that's roughly 47% to 55.5% damage), while max-neutral attack Gliscor (because we have a +Def nature) does 49%-57.5% damage to Hariyama with Aerial Ace, and that's its strongest attack. If Hariyama doesn't have Guts activated, it does 112-132 (31.5% - 37%).

If you want to be able to handle Gliscor, give Hariyama max speed, have it hold a Salac berry, and give it Endure and Reversal. A Belly-drummed EndRev will OHKO max-defense Gliscor, and the Salac berry will ensure that you get the move off unless Gliscor has a Choice Scarf (which is obviously a risk).

So why have Bullet Punch, I hear you ask? Because there are pokemon that will outspeed Salac'ed max speed Hariyama, and can do a lot of damage. There are also ghost types to consider.
