Finally, after 2 days of work, I got the data for the first round. Don't expect me to post Winrate, it took me like 8 hours to get the usage data right. I'm also grouping for species because we know the usage of certain god got altered due to species clause.
Btw, NO, putting Metagross and Salamence without -Mega was not a mistake from my part, but from the player's part who clearly wasn't taking the tournament seriously considering he also bringed on Ice Arceus. It was exhausting to say the least, but fun oddly enough.

we appear to have made the same mistake (i did this back when aaa ran a money tour), but this website (https://replaystats-eo.herokuapp.com/) can do usage stats / win rates from either replay URLs or just a range of posts, meaning there's no need to manually calc usage stats.Finally, after 2 days of work, I got the data for the first round. Thank you so much, Sir? Miss? Tea Guzzler. I definitely use the site I now have, although I might need to do some sort of filter if I want to put it in the format I did of grouped by species (There's that weird case of using non-megas by accident or with a clear purpose). Still, 1 hour of work is much shorter than 10. Also, I fixed some errors I made here and there.
PS: Some data I was able to see due to the link.
- Chansey is by far the most common lead (37.31% were leads), and wins way too much (72%/18 out of 25). That's honestly a worrisome number.
- Other quite common lead choices include Pheromosa (50%), Lunala (44.44%), Kartana (33.33%), Ting-Lu (30%), Eternatus (30%), Steelix-Mega (21.62%) and oddly enough the 2 M-Alakazam used were leads
- The popular pokémon who was used as lead the least is Arceus-Ghost with literal 0 leads.
- Other cases of unpopular leads are Poison and Ground Arceus, Ho-oh, Primal Kyogre, Groudon, Mewtwo-Mega-X, Ground-Arceus, Diancie, Audino, Zacian. Most of the cases are specific checks to X so makes sense they're not good as leads.
- Apparently I was the only dumbass who used on the lead slot Arceus-Ground. I won but it was not a good idea to lead with that over Yveltal in hindsight.
- Other cases of unpopular leads are Poison and Ground Arceus, Ho-oh, Primal Kyogre, Groudon, Mewtwo-Mega-X, Ground-Arceus, Diancie, Audino, Zacian. Most of the cases are specific checks to X so makes sense they're not good as leads.
- The players seem quite bad at dealing with Pheromosa, Ho-Oh, Yveltal, Miraidon, Mega-Steelix and Primal Kyogre. All of them are either immune to ground moves, can trap you or are pivots, which makes me believe it's because inexperienced players are struggling to read switches properly or trapping in the case of Miraidon.
- On the other side of the coin, Flutter Mane, Groudon, Lunala, Kartana, Dondozo, Blissey and Deoxys have quite poor performances. If I had to guess it's because people is not good at playing frail pokémon without pivot or setup sweepers, nor are good at using passive pokémon.
- The most popular core who doesn't involve Chansey or Mewtwo is Kyogre/M-Steelix. Makes total sense, they're 3° and 4° in usage and have tons of defensive synergy. M-Steelix/Yveltal is also quite popular for similar reasons. Also, every single Pheromosa had a mewtwo to help it on the offense, Arceus-Ground loves Miraidon (I suppose the former is ice scales and the latter is fur coat) and all but 1 Arceus-Poison paired up with Chansey.
- Sets are mostly what you see on ladder, aka unpredictable but expectable. Mewtwo is just a wild card but most pokémon are oddly expected on its role, specially Steelix-Mega.
- I can definitely see my weird sets there. I was the only who order Mewtwo to use Victory Dance and recover, Origin Pulse on Kyogre, Steam Eruption and Dragon energy on Miraidon, Will-o-wisp and Roost on Yveltal, Recover on Arceus-Ground, Thunder Cage and Recover on Eternatus and Astral Barrage on Lunala.

I have a somewhat selfish question to you. When you publish the results of round 1, can you please split the replay lists between losers and winners? Because I feel we can get a lot of meaningful info from the differences in usage between players of allegedly different skill levels.
