No as those side effects are not recoil. Recoil is only if the attack lowers the user's HP.

4th Gen games cannot connect to Black/White over wi-fi, only through local wireless, and it isn't a direct trade, it is sort of like Pal Park.

Fossils are in the desert cave. Go in the cave, go all the way left, walk over the sand trap and talk to the NPC on the right. I think the turtle is the first option, bird is the second.

To revive the fossil go to the museum where the 2nd gym is located and talk to the receptionist on the right hand side. You will need a spare slot in your party to receive the Pokemon.

Town with the 4th gym in it, one of the houses above the pokecenter

Thanks. I should always talk to every NPC. I can't believe I was at Champion Road with no HM4.

Though, it's not "above", it's northwest.

What is banned in random Wi-Fi battles?

And does anyone know where I can find a walkthrough for B/W? I'm stuck in the huge city at the moment.

Is Hihidaruma's alternate forme, Daruma Mode, something that always activates when your health is below 50%, or does the forme only activate if your ability is Daruma Mode (and your health is below 50%? Because the way the info is presented on Serebii it appears to be an ability, so I'm really confused.

Depends what you mean.

IVs are still 0-31
EVs are still 0-255, and you still get EVs after battle, macho brace and the power items work the same.

If you are asking if the way IVs are passed down when breeding has changed then i'm not sure if it has, and i'd assume not many people have tested it yet.

Alright, has this been confirmed? If so what does the mess with 8 IVs mean? Are there 8 groups which are assigned IVs? Are IVs done in 8's? All I remember from the original GF release was (paraphrasing) "There are now 8 kinds of IV instead of 6."

Whats the password to unlock Pokemon Transfer/ Shifter?
For Pokemon Transfer, follow the instructions here:
http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/transfermachine.shtml

Be aware that it only lets you transfer over the event Legendary Beasts and Celebi though.

As for the Pokemon Shifter (which lets you transfer over any Pokemon from the Gen 4 games), that opens up automatically after you beat the game and get the National Dex, I believe.

It was more clear in Serebii's discovery thread, but anyway, yeah, it only applies to Hihidaruma's with the ability "Daruma mode." The ones with Encourage will not transform.

That was just a rumor from before the games was released--nothing in CoroCoro, from GF interviews or anything actually mentioned that at all. In any case, it appears that it wasn't true after all, so don't worry about it.

^ Okay thanks, and is the Hihidaruma with Daruma mode only available in the Dream World, or can you get it in-game too?
From what I understand, I believe it becomes available after you beat you the Elite Four. When you head towards the Abandoned Fortress in the Desert, you'll run into Professor Araragi, and she'll tell you about the ones that have the Daruma mode ability, and you'll be able to catch them (I believe the ones with Daruma mode are intractable Pokemon, like Legendaries, so you just go right up to one to fight and catch it). Or something like that. Don't remember the exact details, but they're definitely available in game, and have nothing to do with the Dream World.

Okay great, thanks for clearing that up for me :)

And if there is a walkthrough for B/W up somewhere?
It's not exactly an actual walkthrough (not sure where/if there are any yet), but Serebii's discovery thread seems to function well enough as one:
http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?t=466228

He does leave out a few details and there's other stuff posted in there as well, but it should still serve the purpose well enough, unless you're looking for specific information on wild Pokemon in each route/trainer rosters and the like.

Glad someone finally cleared that up, it's been asked on just about every page since 5 or 6 with no response. I was actually hoping there was going to be some new IV system in place, it was being discussed in the mark 2 thread for a while about how IV and EV data would transfer and change between games and such. Was hoping they'd make breeding a little easier, but oh well -- at least they didn't make it any worse.

I'm assuming that under magic room, pokemon with choice items pick their moves freely.

If a choiced pokemon uses a move, then MR's effect ends, will that pokemon be able to pick its move the next turn? I'd imagine it would, just want to be sure.

Is it possible to access 4th gen Pokes pre E4 via trading??
If you're directly trading with another B/W catridge that has some, then I would assume so, yes. However, if you're trying to transfer over Pokemon from a DPPtHGSS cartridge, then you do have to wait until after beating the E4 and the Pokeshifter becomes available. The only exceptions to this are the event Celebi and Legendary Beasts, which can be transferred through a different method (the Transfer Machine), which can be used as soon as you get to Hiun City.

What's the deal with Thunder Wave? I know it still has no effect on Ground types, but does it hit Pokemon with abilities like Lighting Rod, Volt Absorb, and Motor Drive?
