I need to breed an HP Ice Gengar on Pokemon Black. I have a flawless Modest Ditto, a random female timid gastly i caught; all the power items and everstone. How should I go about it? I have an HP ice Jolteon if that is in anyway useful lol...

I assume you are going for the basic Timid HP ICE Gengar...
1-Put a Everstone in the Gastly, it will set the nature to 50% Timid.
2-Put a power item in ditto (i would prefer in speed).
3-Breed multiple times until you got a decent IV gastly, then do it for real with the flawless ditto.
4-Aim for something like 25+/26+/26+/31/25+/31; remember that atk. and def. needs to be even and the rest odd for a HP Ice.

why HP Ice?
i think Sub/Shadow Ball/Focus Blast/Pain Split or Disable would be standart.

Edit: aw yeah i didn't saw this part somehow

You probably know that too, so me thinks you just quoted the wrong person ;)

How does destiny bond interact with future sight/doom desire? Does it get ignored entirely when the move hits, or does it KO the pokemon who is currently switched in at the time?

I want one for a Choice Scarf Gengar.
 
I've chosen my Espeon on the Play to Befriend a Pokemon, but I can't figure out how to get it into me dreamworld account, and therefore my game. Help?

Another question: anybody else check smogon every day to see if it was up again?

You said you got a random gastly, so the IV are also random and probably not that good. Step 3 was for getting that random female and breeding with the flawless ditto and getting a better IV'd one. Then breeding the outcome with the flawless ditto again and again.

When you are confident you got a decent IV gastly to make partner with the flawless ditto one last time, breed them both for the real outcome, the one you will be using in battles.

They're supposedly available via the Dream World, although I don't know from which areas, and how many points you need before they start appearing.

The eeveelutions you win will be available in the Dream World after May 5th (this date may be slightly off), which is when they take the game down. As long as your DW account is linked to the right pokemon.com account, you should be fine.

Destiny Bond does not activate for damage that occurs at the end of the turn, including damage from Leech Seed and Future Sight.

Ice Shard. IMO. My leadswine's only atk move is Ice Shard. It appears your running a different lead set though. Stone Edge's accuracy is abysmal. If your running max spd I'd say rockslide.
 
Where can I find information on trending types of teams?

Example: Is it viable to use a team with a bunch of tank types that are meant to soak up damage? Is a mix of 2 support 2 hitters a tank and a sweeper a good combination? How important is team synergy in competitive pokemon?

Big surprise here: I'm new to pokemon starting in 5th gen, just looking for some answers to the nooks of the competitive scene.
