In short:
10. Laura Mvula - Sing to the Moon
9. Childish Gambino - Because the Internet
8. Laura Marling - Once I Was an Eagle

3. Bill Callahan - Dream River
2. The Strokes - Comedown Machine
1. Janelle Monáe - The Electric Lady

Re: The Dismemberment Plan, I also thought that their new album was unfairly maligned. It wasn't anywhere near as good as their last two albums, obviously, but it wasn't awful. It was even in my top 30 before Melt-Banana knocked it off.

I haven't listened to a lot of stuff I wanted to yet, so I think I'll rethink the list during the next couple of months anyway. But even then, most of the stuff I listened to this year was pretty good.
There are some things that I feel I need to mention as the most disappointing albums of the year for me.

Deadlock - The Arsonist
I didn't expect this one to be anything special, considering how mediocre their last album was, but they've reached a new low with The Arsonist. I at least expected the band to freshen their sound with their new growler, but nah, the album is bland and uninteresting. There were like 3 alright songs, which is better than nothing I guess... The downward spiral continues.

Megadeth - Super Collider
OH MY GOD this album was utter shit. I don't even know what else to say. Biggest heartbreak ever. I'm incredibly disappointed that I didn't get to see my favorite band live before they managed to piss out this record. The best thing about this album is that the only good song on it is also the first, so you don't have to skip any tracks to get to it. Even after revealing the crappy title track (which is still one of the better pieces on the album), I hoped Super Collider would be a good album. But no, it's the worst album of the band's career. Even worse than Risk, which was a great album compared to this piece of crap. I feel sad for all the people who bought this album.

Best Music projects from 2013
1. Drake - Nothing Was The Same (Clearly, had great production, lyrics, melodies, and a seemingless transition and can listen straight through)
2 Ariana Grande - Yours Truly (This girl can sing, Album was a mix of soul, R & B, Pop and Hip Hop. The young Mariah Carey over-delivered on her debut album.)
3. Lorde - Pure Heroine ( With a hit as big as Royals, you'd think she'd be a 1 hit wonder. Surprisingly, the then 16, old a great album full of message filled songs.)
4. Beyonce - BEYONCÉ (XO) ( A great album that broke an iTunes record on most sales in a 3 day period. All songs are good to say the least. Well structured.)
5. J.Cole - Born Sinner ( Man what a great album. Every song is relatable no matter your living situation and may I add that he produced every song himself.)
6. Justin Timberlake - The 20/20 Experience ( Enjoyable music no matter what the age group or ethnic background. The closest thing to Michael Jackson today.)
7. Kanye West - Yeezus ( If you get passed the biased fans and listen for yourself, you'll see the amazing production and passion behind Kanye's messages. Good.)
