It's time for the third annual 1v1 OGPL! There will be a total of 6 teams. Playoffs will feature the top 3 seeds. The #1 seed gets a bye while the #2 and #3 seeds will fight in the semifinals.

SuperMemeBroz thanks for being a great co. Some shit happened that we couldn’t really do anything about but i want to acknowledge your ability as a player despite the results. Every series you played felt super close and while that probably just adds to what you’re feeling, it’s an indication of your skill as a player. The teams you passed were also invaluable. The true hero of the team.

I wouldn’t say I like you though, you haven’t given me any reason to at all but that’s whatever. You played well and should’ve been like 3-1. ggs see u in pl if you don’t manage and self buy.
With gogoats out of the tour, it’s time for shoutouts before I take a couple of weeks off 1v1 to recover from the last few weeks. I hardcore dropped the ball in semis, but the goats know what’s up there. I’m sure they’ll forgive me, and I don’t need forgiveness from anyone else. No matter what, I put everything I had into giving you all a tour to remember and making the best choices I could to lead us to victory. I’m sorry my support wavered leading up to finals, not just for my Goats, but for everyone who believed in us. Not everyone buys into the Gogoat mentality, and to some, we’ll always be a meme team. But to me, this was another step toward seeing my vision sprout to life and I am so thankful to everyone who made it possible.
neomon a shoutouts post has to start somewhere and what better place to start than the man who made this all possible to begin with. I haven't managed a PL-style team tour without Lost Heros since literally 2019 and he's been my greatest strength all these years. It was daunting needing to step up with a new co-manager not knowing if I was gonna be able to pull off the things I strive for, but you more than delivered on filling in the blanks in my ability. This draft would've been impossible without you, and this tour would've been impossible without you. Thank you.
Hi this is Felucia from the future why did I draft 14 players my fingers are starting to hurt Close was the cornerstone of the gogoats strategy, and it was 30k well spent. It was incredibly reassuring to have one of the best SM and SS players in the tour watching our backs. You allowed us to be flexible with slotting, and for the most part play into whatever the opposing flex threw at us by giving some SS or SM player a run for their money. You were worth every penny, thanks for being on this ride with us.
Blanched honestly same story here. The plan was to have PokeOtter start ADV every week but after we were able to save more money than expected on other players I took a chance and saw you were available for the slot. I absolutely think it paid off, you ended up getting a bit unlucky with some of your matchups but I think I speak for all of the team when I say watching one of the best modern-day 1v1 players play ADV for us was very good for team morale. You fit into gogoats great and I've love to pick you up again, whether you're busy or not.
stravench if Close and Blanched were the muscles that pulled the team ahead, you were the brain that kept it all running. After a few unfortunate weeks in DPP we moved you to BW and got to see the true menace of a motivated stravench casually helping out with building 3-5 slots like it's nothing. I've been so happy to have you around, and thanks to all the other managers sleeping at their desks giving me 10k stravench, please never let that happen again.
Call me PK we did not know each other before this tour and I would never have picked you up without neomon going "no please trust me and just do it." Boy am I glad he did. If there's one regret this tour it's not slotting you every single week because I was not familiar with your power in the early weeks.
Before I get to prunyy I think I need to shout out 3 people at once: prunyycakeezz swag editionPokeOtter I've mentioned the muscles, I've mentioned the brain, I would like to introduce everyone to the beating heart of the gogoats. I'm pretty sure these 3 together had more lines than the rest of the team combined, and for good reason. The gogoats have never quite seen a team this supportive and motivated before; hours were spent in builder no matter what gen needed support. Insane value for their combined 10.5k.
prunyy you were willing to take any blow you needed to make our lineups work out. Between suffering in ORAS, having a decent time in SM, and finally finding your spin in DPP, you are an incredibly fast learner. I would like to note for everyone present that prunyy (with help) built all his teams himself despite being virtually unfamiliar with building old gens for tournaments. Shoutout to the gogoats team structure for making that possible at all. I supported him in SM, cakeezz spent hours in the ORAS builder with prunyy, and stravench was there for us in the DPP week.
Next instead of going by price I'll continue with the hivemind duo. Me and fucking cakeezz swag edition rützou in it to win it all. Never in my life have I talked about this many halves of cars and it was such a good time to chill with someone with the same brainrot vocabulary as me. Together we spent hours playing a baseball minigame and driving to tesco. Your performance and everything else tour related was just bonus. (Trust me dear reader this message makes perfect sense to cakeezz and cakeezz alone)
ZackPalace my guy you and neomon were great and I honestly wish we'd gotten the opportunity to work together more but I wouldn't know the difference between a B and a W. You're a great guy and a great BW player and I'm glad we had you on the team. I don't regret drafting you in the slightest and if anything I wish we could've given you more of a spotlight.
Next up: Arai the best RBY player the world has ever seen, most teams were too scared to even slot into you that's just how good you are. I'll be honest I mostly just drafted you because we're friends and I knew you were a good match for the gogoat vibes, loved having roun around to cheer us on from the bench and style on lost heros in RBY.
Liimpy we ended up drafting too much SS and you didn't get to shine at all, I really wish we could've seen more stravench+Liimpy power duo on the team but even with you on the bench it was nice knowing that on top of Recti and Close absolutely smashing it we had a very solid SS on the bench. Also your opinion on the best star wars movies is correct so that makes you worth at least 3k more than we paid for you.
PokeOtter I don't think anybody but the gogoats will ever know the asset you were and the growth you went through. You went from a nervous wreck week 1 to consistently outclicking people on ladder and during practise, I managed to teach you 1v1 in terms I never tried explaining to anyone else and you picked them up effortlessly. Just explaining these things to you made me a better player as well. I appreciated the support you put in for blanched, and obviously joining me in SM to throw shit at the wall and seeing what sticks was a huge help.
Sificon same story as Liimpy, we ended up drafting more BW than we intended and with stravench moving out of DPP we didn't find enough of an opportunity to give you a chance to play. I hope you can get a more consistent spot on the next team tour you join so you can get the proper team tour experience.
recti... My man rectangle you know I don't care about records that much if I see how much effort my players are putting in but how could I not mention the absolute tear you went on. Nobody will be able to give you bad rep again, and I feel incredibly blessed that neomon figured out how motivated you were gonna be this tour before any of the other managers did. You're a legend, you even joined the SM channel to lose brain cells over ZardX and Sealeo. Thank you rectify.
SwordIsBored one of last year's gogoats made it onto the team and I was so happy to see you. It felt weird drafting last year's starter as just a supporter this tour, but watching you grow into that support role for cakeezz was honestly really rewarding for me as a manager to see. Sorry for all the bad teams they put you through, and I hope we get to see the top 20 ORAS in action next tour.

Now that it's the end of the line, I think it's time for some introspective nonsense (don't worry I'll keep it short). Like every tour, on top of just drafting good players I aimed to draw out their 120%, and I don't think I've ever succeeded as much as I did this time. It feels hard to explain this to someone who wasn't there to see it, but I genuinely think half the players on the gogoats could not have done what they did on most other teams. The combination of manager support and player dynamics made this team spin, and it was fucking fantastic. All these people deserve recognition and I hope to see you all around as tour players or 1v1 contributors. Haters will hate, but you were the best team in my heart goats, and I really hope you can agree.
