Drapion is an amazing wallbreaker in NU thanks to its solid offensive typing allowing it to check Psychic- and Ghost-types like Xatu, Celebi, and Decidueye. Its STAB Knock Off punishes common switch-ins like Mudsdale, Vaporeon, and defensive Guzzlord, and Earthquake is able to threaten Toxicroak, Diancie, and Copperajah. Drapion prefers Black Sludge to punish Trick users like Rotom-C and gain longevity. It likes to get brought in safely with good pivots like Rotom-C, Talonflame, and Starmie. Rotom-C and Talonflame also give it a Ground immunity, and Starmie helps against Mudsdale and Rhydon, while in return Drapion threatens Sylveon and Celebi. Faster threats like Talonflame, Tauros, and Heliolisk threaten Drapion out, so Mudsdale and Rhydon make for defensive teammates. Celebi can break through bulkier threats like Mudsdale and Vaporeon, and Drapion can threaten Ghost-types such as Dhelmise and Decidueye for it.

Drapion is an amazing wallbreaker in NU thanks to its solid offensive typing. Its two STAB-attacks go hand in hand, with Knock Off being capable of removing items such as Leftovers from punishing (This word choice is concise and open ended, especially when HDB is very common on Vaporeon.) common switch-ins like Mudsdale, Vaporeon, and defensive Guzzlord and Poison Jab hits Pokemon like Sylveon and Rotom-C super effectively (Fluff; Instead, mention that Drapion is a great check to Psychic- and Ghost-types like Xatu, Celebi, and Decidueye. Mentioning the defensive pros of Drapion and its STAB Knock Off are more important than mentioning that a Poison attack is super effective vs those two.). Earthquake is able to threaten Tyrantrum Toxicroak (more relevant coverage-wise, and Drapion is a legit revenge killer to SD Toxicroak when choosing to have EQ for it.), Diancie, and Copperajah. Drapion uses Black Sludge preferably to punish Trick users like Rotom-C and as a form of longevity. Drapion likes to get brought in safely with good teampartners pivots like Rotom-C, Talonflame, and Starmie. Rotom-C and Talonflame give it also a Ground-immunity and Starmie compliments Drapion well as a partner. Drapion threatens Sylveon and Celebi which Starmie has trouble with, in return Starmie helps against Mudsdale and Rhydon. Faster threats like Talonflame, Tauros, and Heliolisk threaten Drapion out so Mudsdale and Rhydon make for good choices defensive teammates. with being also able to set hazards for Drapion. (Fluff; Everything likes SR support so unless you had a specific calc in mind where SR chip damage allows Drapion to OHKO a target, or something like that, then don't include this portion.) Celebi and Drapion are good partners, as Celebi can break bulkier threats like Mudsdale and Vaporeon and Drapion can threaten Bronzong as well as Ghost-types such as Dhelmise and Decidueye for it. (NP Celebi beats Bronzong, so it doesn't need Drapion for that target. The two aren't bad partners but just keep it at the Ghost-types portion)
