[SET COMMENTS]
Rillaboom is rather poor choice as a wallbreaker in OU because of its average Speed stat and shallow movepool, leaving it helpless against the likes of Corviknight, Mandibuzz, and Hawlucha. Having Overgrow as the only ability and its weaknesses to common offensive types, such as Flying and Fire, somewhat hurt its role as well. On top of that, it is outclassed by one of the tier's best wallbreakers, Galarian Darmanitan, which has higher Attack and Speed stats, a useful coverage option in Flare Blitz, a better ability in Gorilla Tactics, and great Dynamax potential. Therefore, Rillaboom should not be used at all. Jolly is the preferred nature to outspeed Gyarados, but Adamant can also be used to always 2HKO Galarian Corsola with Wood Hammer. Knock Off is a must-have on Rillaboom because it removes Leftovers from Ferrothorn and Corviknight and Eviolite from Galarian Corsola, which makes breaking past them much easier. Earthquake nails Aegislash, Excadrill, and Toxapex without taking recoil from Wood Hammer; it also prevents an Attack drop from King's Shield. Superpower can also be used in this slot to OHKO Hydreigon and 2HKO Ferrothorn.
Since Rillaboom is used as a wallbreaker, defensive partners that can cover its weaknesses, such as Rotom-W and Aegislash, are appreciated. The former also forms a great VoltTurn core with Rillaboom. Late-game sweepers that appreciate the opposing team being weakened, such as Gyarados and Choice Scarf Galarian Darmanitan, are also great partners. Corviknight and Mandibuzz are a major roadblock for Rillaboom, as it cannot break past them, so teammates that take advantage of them, such as Rotom-H, Toxtricity, and Galarian Darmanitan, are appreciated.
