or maybe it's just that like 99% of the 650,000 could be immediately screened out because they had nothing to do with Hillary. They only care about emails that are actually tied to the previously conducted investigation. As it was Anthony Weiner's laptop, presumably very little on it was from Hillary Clinton. Why would she email Weiner or vice versa when his wife and her main assistant, Huma Abedin, is the obvious go between.

The FBI only had authority based on the parameters of the investigation to look at emails to and from Hillary from the same time period that Hillary's email operation faced investigation. This was probably not many at all, since it's his computer not hers.

In fact, I haven't even seen a story from a non-tabloid that says even a single one of the emails that they then investigated was new and relevant. I'm doubtful that much of anything was new period, and if it was, it apparently wasn't relevant.
And if you're correct, I'll own up to it. I mean it, I dislike Trump as well, and I've owned up to being wrong at other things such as the 9/11 incident. If you're wrong, then a traitor has been elected.

Look, I hate being a better-than-thou type, so I'm not going to bother. I'm not the smartest person out there, nor the one too deeply interested into this whole thing, so take my words with a grain of salt. But that doesn't mean that even in that 1% of emails (6500) there might be something. And if there isn't, well shame on me and all the others.

Ignoring the specious argument about how mobilizing millennial voters to register and vote Democrat isn't needed or desired

If anything Sanders running against her lowered her favorability with young people and certaintly did not favors in helping them get out and vote for her in the general. No way did Sanders running against her help her at all in fact I'd say it worsened her. Heard about the potential Washington faithless elector?
That was the effect but it certainly wasn't the intention. The intention of Sanders in the primaries is described in the document, get the younguns interested and then endorse Hillary to "unify" the party and ensure a HRC win via voter turnout. I don't think anybody could have predicted the sheer size, magnitude, and passion of the Sanders movement before the primaries started, seeing as he's a jobless loser whose wife left him because he couldn't hold a position as a carpenter... not to mention all of the radical/infeasible bullshit he was saying for the duration of the primaries. He attracted his ilk, though, and it says something incredibly depressing about college-age kids today (or most people under 30).

There is nothing. It is a witch-hunt perpetuated by Republicans.

They're bolded in my post, if you'd read it before replying...

I've read it about a dozen times. Maybe I'm just not an alchemist who can turn lead into gold, but I see nothing but long-term strategies in those bolded posts. If they are more than that, the onus is on YOU to prove otherwise. But you won't do that, because everyone who disagrees with you is literally being paid to do so, right? Chillingly pathetic.

Watch me

Put the GOP immediately on the defensive and create crosspressure between general election and primary messages; force them to get firmly on the record with right wing positions

GUYS. The GOP is on the defensive. Crosspressure has been created. Can you shills not see that the GOP has been working with hillary the whole time to get her elected?!

OK. Don't confuse you not being able to connect the dots in the post due to how much of a CTR shill you are with the conversation being "chillingly pathetic". Nice joke, by the way, I didn't know that mods were allowed to use strawmen in serious debate threads. I'll see myself out, this is clearly one-sided.

Yo the degree of positive correlation between how much anime you watch and how much of a trump conspiracy dipshit u are is insane honestly

And this is allowed? Dice got banned for less. Actually, dice got banned for a post that's shockingly similar to the one you've just posted, von.

Compare:
CROOKED HILLARY CLINTON BACK IT AGAIN WITH THE EMAILS. HOW CAN YOU BLIND LIBTARDS NOT SEE HOW BAD SHE IS? TRUMP MAY SAY BAD THINGS BUT HILLARY DOES BAD THINGS. SHE'S A THREAT TO NATIONAL SECURITY; WE CAN'T TRUST HER.
GUYS. The GOP is on the defensive. Crosspressure has been created. Can you shills not see that the GOP has been working with hillary the whole time to get her elected?!

I'm not gonna argue about that though. It isn't pertinent to the thread. Just wanted to bring it up so you can stop swinging around the same shit that you ban people for.

No, a strawman would be saying that "shaka brah thinks that the GOP are complicit with the Democrats". I'm saying that you can apply the exact same logic you applied to the dem side to the republican side. And then the logic obviously fails.

99% of the time strawman is invoked it's not applicable. You just can't stand to have your opinion argued against. It's the same reason you resort to personal attacks (the idea that anyone on a competitive pokemon forum would be paid for a political opinion is stroke inducing). It's the same reason you have to try to get the last word in while "excusing yourself from this one-sided debate".

If you believe that Bernie was planning to lose against Hillary the whole time, show me.

I've finally found some articles related to the specific emails. None of them come to conclusion that Bernie was planning to lose.

This one suggests that some sort of leverage was held over Bernie to force him to act in certain ways and to ultimately endorse Hillary when he lost. Which sounds a lot more convincing that what you guys are saying, because that's exactly what the emails you are showing me say. "We have leverage over Bernie". Frankly, wouldn't it be more interesting to wonder if that's some skeleton in the closet? Maybe it's just threats to his "political revolution", which looks fairly promising if the dems win the senate and Bernie gains that position of power that Paul Ryan was whining about.

This one talks about a separate columnist who pretended to be support Bernie just so that when he lost he could try and swing Bernie supporters to Clinton. Which is closer to what you are saying, but an odd strategy coming from a party that "always had Bernie's support".

If hypothetical Bernie from Earth-2 was always working for Hillary, why then, according these emails, is he constantly breaking these agreements? Why would he have done a lot of the things he did that ultimately hurt Hillary? You can say that no one expected his supporters to become so big, but the man is still accountable for his own actions. Nothing really makes sense about Bernie the mole's behavior.

How come when Bernie breaks his agreements, these same emails talk about colluding with journalists to counter-attack him? Certainly that doesn't seem like the first option you'd have if your opponent is in fact not trying to be your opponent at all.

So what is in those emails that we are missing? Or is it just what Shaka Brah posted, and what I and many others have come to different conclusions about?

This is (quite literally tbh) the only reasonable piece I've come across outlining the problematic issues that emerge from the podesta and the DNC leaks.

It can be reasonably argued that there is some potentially illegal conduct here and there, but there *are* definitely some solid ethical breaches.

This could have been deadly for Clinton if this happened early in the primaries or if she were running against a Republican candidate with a fully functioning brain.

And it seems it's election day tomorrow and yet I can't consciously vote for any candidate. Being someone of Republican values, voting hillary goes against what I ideologically support, yet the discrimatory and prejudice attitude that trump consistently displays also goes against my morals. Not to mention I don't see the third party candidate as a good one (a presidential candidate should know something about Aleppo lol). So i'll be writing in some moderate republican for my vote.

Talk about a good election for my first time being able to vote and possibly the last time :D

@ Aruyre

You know you're not for Trump based on your morals. You kniw he is an agent that will work to divide the country. Look at all the things he's done and will do; it's an embarrasment. I urge you to vote for a candidate who will do their best to unite everybody, and not waste your vote. Let me tell you, had Kasich been running, I'd have voted for him over Hillary because I think he would be a better choice for the country, even though he doesn't align with my beliefs. So please bite the bullet and vote for Hillary, because she will be a better President than Trump. And this is bigger than you or I, so please do this for your country. I promise you I will vote for the conservative in 2020 if he seems to be the morally correct choice.
Thank you for reading, and I hope I help to sway those wrestling with their vote solely based on party identification.

My fellow Americans,

I will be a future engineer and soldier of the American Army. Although young and inexperienced, I still have a voice and wish to address my views. Growing up in as an Asian, born and raised in this great nation, and living within a Black neighborhood next to the Mexican border, I'm not here to state the issue of immigrants and our policies with foreign nations, but that I'm glad to be part of the enriching and colorful communities that only the United States can offer. To look through the eyes of others, that is a true blessing. Now, rich or poor, conservative or liberal, old or young, all citizens and the rest of the world, believe it or not, certainly want the best outcome for our future. The American president is not just our leader, but one of the world's most influential, global leaders; this representative sets the standard of the American image, thus effectively impacting the relationship amongst ourselves as well as other nations. Despite our nation's great achievements, the belief that we accomplished them on our own is a hyperbole. We certainly would not have come this far if the people of other nations, such as Albert Einstein and Arnold Schwarzenegger, had not contributed to our talents and our comrades/allies had not contributed to our general clauses, including (believe it or not) those of military and economic needs. Of course, I understand that many of you are worried of tomorrow's outcomes and for some still undetermined. I'm also aware that you may disagree with what I had stated, whether the reason is due to present matters or future concerns. Nevertheless, like the majority of you, I will be exercising my right to vote for the first time. Just remember, whoever you vote for please, and I repeat please, do not only consider what's best for your family and friends, but those around you, including your neighbors and even people you don't know about, as well. For the future ahead, we must trust in each other and fight as one will. Even our political parties, which seem to be in constant dispute, have a common goal to ensure what is best for our nation. Finally, we are at our last stand, so go out and vote.

SERIOUSLY, GO OUT AND VOTE!

Trump's new slogan for when he's going to campaign in 2020.

"I know I built a wall to keep mexicans out in 2016 when I was first elected, but I am prepared to turn you all from MexiCAN'T to MexiCAN if you all agree to vote for me."

Goal of Bernie's campaign was to create the People’s PAC to get the money Bernie raised into the Clinton campaign.
Bernie’s small donor base has revolutionary potential. $42 million in February alone.

It would give Bernie followers a way to connect that would then be a good gateway to getting the more comfortable with Hillary. We need to keep continuity with them. And the money will be left on the table otherwise.

"Media sting agent" building support with Bernie's voter base in order to get them to eventually defect to supporting Hillary:
It is no secret that I support Hillary without profound enthusiasm and have spent months praising Bernie with huge enthusiasm. I have a ton of credibility with Bernie, his senior staff and above all his grassroots and small donor base, who consider me the mainstream columnist who has given Bernie the most fair shake in the media.

Now, I am beginning to cash in the chips by setting the stage carefully and tactfully for Bernie's people to gravitate to Hillary by convention time. Most but not all of them will support Hillary, some will stay home, I worry about the younger people especially who do not view politics as we do.

That was march of 2016 long after bernie had entered and even after it was reasonably clear he would lose.

By that point, she had dominating wins all over the south that built up a sizeable delegate lead (320 or so) mostly due to wins in the deep south but also virginia, ohio, and florida. When she had lost, it was usually only by a point or two or was in a very small state.

Her overall delegate margin at that point through 26 states voting ie half the country was roughly 60-40, ie roughly where it ended.

How dare they already be planning for what Bernie and other democrats could do to project unity halfway through the contest when he was clearly losing! So corrupt!

I think I'm justified making these posts when we are at the cusp of possibly electing the least qualified candidate in our history. Trust me, I don't really care much for her; I just don't want him as the face of this nation.
Lovely attacking users, by the way. Only a few posts above did you accuse another user of being a "CTR shrill."

Edit: When other posters go low, I go high!
There, now I'll get paid today

Guys, which is a good website for following the election?
Like, vote counts, and so?

http://www.politico.com/2016-election/results/map/president
http://www.cnn.com/election
http://votecastr.us/

And of course, there's always Twitter.

EDIT: Also good lord I step away from this thread for a week and it turns into this conspiracy theory nonsense. Also MAN I can't believe I missed out - you mean I wasted all that time defending Hillary online for free, when CTR could have been paying me the whole time?
