@Bryne: Much as the team has a huge amount of room for improvement, I don't think your post will particularly help breenm.
@breenm: While I like the idea behind the team, the overall execution is poor. Though he did not word his post particularly well, Bryne does bring up a good point - all of your opponents in those logs were poor players using very poor teams.
Currently, your team lacks effective checks to a large number of common offensive Pokemon - I cannot forsee any even remotely good offensive team losing to you. a lack of Phazers and Hazards also puts you in a poor position versus opposing stall and balance.
Now, the issues with the team could, of course, be fixed with sufficient changes. However, the RMT forum is designed for teams which only need a few changes to see a large increase in success - this team would require a complete overhaul, and therefore I believe it falls outside the boundaries of this forum as a whole. Additionally, from reading through the logs you posted, I see that you don not play to a particularly high standard either.
My first recommendation is therefore to sign-up for
Smogon's Battling 101 program. This is specifically designed to help new players such as yourself get a better grasp of the nuances of competetive Pokemon.
Now as round 57 is currently ongoing, you might propose the question or what you should do whilst you wait for round 58. Obviously, building another team of your own is a sub-optimal choice - you're likely to make the same mistakes again. My recommendation is to have a look through the
RatemyTeam archive, and try out a few of the teams there. This will enable you to get a much better understand of your own playstyle and the game as a whole - additionally, reading through the threads should give you some cool teambuilding tips, as well as some ideas you might like to try out when you're ready to present a team of your own. Since you've expressed an interest in defensive teams, my initial recommendation would be to check out
IR: The Art of Rain Stall by M Dragon. This is a fantastic example of an extremely effective stall team, with detailed explanations to give you a more concrete idea of roles within a defensive team. However, I would also advise you look at the other recent teams in the archive, since they may allow you to see that you also enjoy or more offensive apporach. Even if you decide you dislike playing offense, doing so would help you to "know your enemy" a bit better. At the minimum, I would recommend trying out the most recent four teams, as these are built for fairly recent metagames and cover a broad range of teamstyles. Though many of them are no longer legal an/or relevant, it would not be bad idea to read through some of the older threads, too. Teams such as
Solum's Core include plenty of useful imformation about teambuilding and considering the metagame that is still relevant even after the metagame they were originally designed for. You may also read some articles on the main site and perhaps have a browse through some of the threads in dragonspiral tower to try to soak up as much information as possible.
I understand that as a newbie you're excited by the prospect of designing a team for your own and beating as many people as possible with it, but without research beforehand, you're very unlikely to create an effective team. I wish you the best of luck in developing as a player, and hopefully next time I post in one of your RMT's it will be to congratulate you on a very solid, successful team!
