Hey there! Thank you for taking the time to submit for the project! Unfortunately, someone has already reserved skarmory to be a partner with it so unless they forget to do their reservation Skarmory doesn’t count (also, you can only submit one partner). I’ll let Heracross stay for now since I believe it has good enough assets to be somewhat viable but you can change it if you wish!Hazard coreFirstly , I would like to cover the a hazard core involving swampert and skarmory . The basic idea of this core is to defensively cover each others weaknesses and simultaniously lay down entry hazards on the feild . Swampert gets access to stealth rocks as its entry hazard and a slow flip turn to nearly guarantee offensive momentum . Whereas skarmory gets access to spikes as its entry hazards and roost for reliable recovery to potentially come back in to do something . It also has whirlwind as its shuffling move to keep forcing out the opponents , messing up their positioning and potentially racking up some lethal chip damage on the opponent . This core also has a great defensive synergy as they cover each other's weaknesses . As we may know by now , swampert's only weakness is grass type , and skarmory is great sponge for grass type moves by virtue of its quad resistant typing . And skarmory's main weaknesses being fire and electric can be easily covered by switching into swampert as swampert resists fire and is fully immune to eletric . Now this core may have a couple of weaknesses such as mons which hold the HDB ( Heavy-duty boots ) or some brutal wall breakers how can power through both these defensive pokemon such as guts conkeldurr or sword dance diggersby ( with fire punch ) . So to help deal with these problems you can add more pokemon to this core who can deal with these strong wall breakers by out-offensing them , pressuring deffogers and spreading knock offs . I have been testing Guts Heracross with this core and it seemed to be thoroughly excellent at complementing these cores and help handle their weaknesses . It is an extremely lethal wall breakers ( whose threat level is furthur amplified by hazards ) who forces switches very easily and pummels a large part of the tier . It can also be used with SD to pummel through even its resists with its strong STAB moves . It can also guarentee a 2-Hit-KO against mandibuzz ( soon to be the best deffoger ) which is quite the merit . It could however struggle against moltres who runs an offensive and defensive set ( hard to differentiate between eachother ) and moltres can potentially live a +2 guts boosted knock off barely and can eaither snipe heracross or defog hazards . And the fully offensive variant may just outspeed and kill herra . But you can just go swampert and handle it by using toxic and then spamming the stealth rocks as it defogs , effectively winning the hazard war . Although if herracross is not ur taste then you can also use other knock off spammers to get rid of opposing heavy-duty boots and put the hazards layed into good use .( click header for pokepaste of sets )
