I do believe that Doublade is one of the better Ghosts in the tier but it’s still very exploitable to getting its Eviolite removed and getting walled. This just seems to be a much more massive outburst of the popularity of Fighting-types in the tier and Doublade could possibly move back down to RU in April once this blows over.

It’s quite a shame to see that Raikou has gone so far down to the point of getting even less usage than other nichemons not in the tier like Mienshao, Nidoqueen and Diancie. Raikou was always a very awkward fit on teams and many of them centered around it often lacked in damage output. With the introduction of Zeraora it only became far more clear: there are amazing Electric pivots and Raikou isn’t one of them.

I’m not an RU player at all so what exactly has happened in the meta to warrant this amount of Emboar usage? I see a bunch of Pokémon higher up in the rankings that look like they could easily handle Emboar with relative ease.

As another offensive Normal-type, Cinccino will be a fine addition to PU with its own unique attributes that it brings to the table. Between both Technician and Skill Link, it should be difficult for your opponent to scout the ability and the set at team preview.

It took a while for Hitmontop to finally be able to possibly fall but as a Rapid Spinner, I believe that it will be fairly niche. Intimidate is an extraordinary ability for bulky Rapid Spins but Hitmontop has no counterplay against spinblockers outside of Foresight and it faces massive competition with Hitmonchan. Technitop is a set that I think could also arise but Hitmontop will be alright at best in the PU metagame.

I can agree with many others with the current state of PU that it is the best metagame for tournaments but very constricting in casual play. The amount of wallbreakers that plague the tier is far more overwhelming than usual to the point that your team could end up having a really bad matchup vs your opponent’s main wallbreaker. With the return of Ferroseed and Gastrdon, I think this will offer some relief to the PU tier with the additions of these two more solid defensive mons.

Gligar, Doublade and Chesnaught are all great checks to Terrakion, which lost almost all of its best checks when Serperior, Rotom-W, Gliscor, Breloom and Azumarill moved up / were banned. Froslass is pretty bad honestly, Klefki is a bette Spiker than it will ever be, but that idiot youtuber who shall remain unnamed and his mindless sheep followers will doubtless spam the shit out of it until it rises. Mega Steelix does have a niche over Mega Aggron in blocking Volt Switch, and having better pre mega typing. Rotom-Mow...eh. It's a great check to Water-types, and it was viable last gen, but I don't see it doing too well. Quagsire like Gligar, Doublade and Chesnaught is a good Terrakion check, although Band still cleanly 2HKOes it. Mega Blastoise though, should not rise. RU loves finally having a good Rapid Spinner, and Starmie is a better offensive Rapid Spinner as it's much faster and doesn't fill the mega slot. Blastoise is bulkier and has arguaby better coverage though, so it does have a small niche.
This really doesn't depend on Joey, it's just Adaam's team being spammed over and over.
Also it's a legit lead spiker, which UU doesn't really have.

minior & houndoom imo will prolly either be suspected / quick banned from PU. not too much can handle minior setting up(except for quags), and houndoom being as versatileas it is(scarf, specs, darkium, firium) will be a huge threat just like pyroar b4 it moved up. didnt see neither of them on nu ladder, so about time they dropped.

From someone who used a keldeo team and got it to top 20 on the ladder, and ladder isn't a solid judge of skill IK, keldeo is a very solid mon that can easily counter and check the top ou threats EX: Ash Gren, Heatran, Lando-T. Also when keldeo was in uu, it was dumb broke.
It wasn't dumb broke it literally was walled by Amoongus and Celebi. If it drops, Primarina is also a solid answer to it, as well as Starmie, Tentacruel, and can be offensively pressured by Terrakion, Zeraora, Mega Manecetric, Latias, Primarina ONCE MORE, and the ever so popular during tours Jellicent. When It drops, Keldeo will be a nice addition to the UU tier.

Alright, Celebi not as much, but its very punishable if they click icy wind and lock themselves into it because then you can just settup with Zor in their face. So yea, it may be annoying to switch into, but so is Terrakion and it's doing fine (for now). Primarina proves itself a hard counter once more.

I feel keldeo is in a very awkward place in the metagame. Pex's decreased usage and Lele's usage have made it noticeably worse.
