Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Okay, I'd like to say voting is over but there's a problem with a tie for Gnawile- we can't really have two baby Pokemon that evolves to one Stage 1 Pokemon...
So for another 24 hours there will be an urgent tiebreaker vote for the baby Pokemon Gnawile:
How about the next slate doesn't have a theme? That would be cool, especially since you said you would only have themed slates "every once in a while"...
Next slate will be up soon- I have something close to a swamp theme in mind but it will be the slate after the next one. Next one is kind of loosely based anyway so it might as well not be a theme, but to be honest that statement is just a disclaimer for when I run out of ideas
This slate basically puts the nail in the coffin for Truowoodo running Earthquake sets. That being said, Pingest will have some trouble in OU with all the Ground-types. However, in lower tiers, it can pull off a dangerous Calm Mind set.
Gobblord might just be OU-worthy. It has great troubles with Steel-types, but it can fix most of that with Focus Blast.
Aromaguezee, as the OTHER poison fairy, doesn't have a move to take care of Steel-types with, but as a result likely will be lower-tier.
Forgot to vote ;_;
The submissions I cared the most about were my Gnawile/Jawile, but I like that Jawile so it's fine. I actually wanted the two submissions to win since I forgot to give Bullet Punch to mine lol. Not sure how I feel about Gnawile though...
The knight/king Swalot evolutions are nice. Gobblord, the king, ended up stronger than Pingest, the knight lol.
Munsence's my favorite out of the new evolutions. It's pretty great, considering it has Regenerator + Defog and no weakness to SR, and Wish + Spore to top it off.
Aromaguezee makes me realize how underwhelming a part Poison type Aromatisse would be, and that's coming from someone who really likes the justification for it...

Design/Desc.: Overall a smaller, cuter Absol. Its eyes are much larger and rounder. The spikes on the back of their feet are gone. Its legs are a bit rounder. The white fur now has a pink tint.

[Stage 2] Spectreant
Typing: Ghost/Grass
Ability: Shadow Tag/Frisk
Hidden Ability: Harvest
Stats: 100/131/86/70/102/56
New Moves: Spikes, Shadow Sneak, Needle Arm
Method of Evolution: Level-up in a forest
Design/Desc.: Spectreant gains a much more rough and spiky look to its wooden body upon evolution, also growing out its leaves more and fully covering the top of its head with leaves. Spectreant is shown with much more cracks in its rotting wood to show its ghostly interior, with it even growing two more additional spectral arms, with both not even being covered in wood beyond a small bit on one of the arms.
Those who enter a Spectreant's forest and disturb the natural order are never seen again. It is said that a Spectreant can appear in an instant in front of a person by travelling its ghostly body through its forest's trees. When its tree rots away, Spectreant proceeds to haunt another one, though its mere presence makes the tree rot away faster, forcing constant tree changing.
Since Spectreant will make people never escape its forest, Shadow Tag makes a lot of sense. Spikes would be used by Spectreant to booby-trap its forest to make escape even more futile, with said spikes easily being seen as shed spiky wood. Spectreant's tree hopping abilities explain Shadow Sneak, while its prickly nature explains Needle Arm
[Stage 3] Clocktowl
(Clock + Noctowl)
Typing: Psychic/Flying Ability: Insomnia/Forewarn Hidden Ability: Tinted Lens Stats: 130/50/50/116/114/80 New Moves: Calm Mind, Future Sight, Hurricane, Psyshock, Light Screen, Fake Out, Teleport Method of Evolution: Level-up Noctowl at around the same time a minute in the internal clock passes. Design/Desc.: Basing itself after the clock theme behind Hoothoot that sadly got left behind with Noctowl, Clocktowl becomes a psychic owl with various clock symbols scattered around its body, like its eyebrows looking like clock arrows and a clock symbol in its wings, and powers related to seeing and exploring the past and future.
Clocktowls are fierce night predators who swoop in to catch their prey in the darkness, seeing them with their tinted lens augmented by its psychic powers, which it uses at times to stop fast prey in place. It seems to have a still unstudied control over time, with their even being evidence of Clocktowl bones found that date back to way before Clocktowl began to prosper.
General clock and time theme explains Forewarn, Future Sight, Fake Out and Teleport, which all the other new moves bar Hurricane are to use its new Psychic-typing.
[Stage 3] Sleepee
(Sleepy written ala "Drowzee")
Typing: Psychic/Dark Ability: Insomnia/Forewarn Hidden Ability: Bad Dreams Stats: 95/73/70/113/125/67 New Moves: Dark Pulse, Sucker Punch, Feint Attack, Knock Off, Night Slash, Shadow Claw, Power Gem, Sleep Powder Method of Evolution: Level-Up after fainting a sleeping Pokémon at level 40 or more. Design/Desc.: Hypno evolves into an evil, conniving entity who not only gains nurishment from dreams, but also causes nightmares on those who it hypnotizes. Sleepee has a much more malificent expression than Hypno, with many black spots and coverings throughout its body, with its entire arms covered in black, giving note to its increased claw size. Alongside the now mystically adorned hypno pendulum, Sleepee also gains a pendulum-like gem on its forehead.
Unlike Drowzee, Sleepee have no preference when it comes to eating dreams, and actually prefers bad dreams over regular ones, and with its wicked psychic powers, it can manually make a dream into a nightmare. It is said that a Sleepee visiting you at night is a very bad omen for what's to come.
Added Dark typing because of Sleepee's very malificent and evil (Dark's japanese name) nature, and while Bad Dreams is normally Darkrai's signature move, it combines greatly with Sleepee's flavor. Dark moves like Dark Pulse and Knock Off are because of the newfound typing, while Night Slash and Shadow Claw are for use of Sleepee's newfound claws, while Power Gem uses its new gem on its forehead and Sleep Powder is a potent sleep inducing move, something natural to come froma hypnotic master.
[Stage 3] Arachnight
Typing: Bug/Poison Ability: Technician/Insomnia Hidden Ability: Compound Eyes Stats: 80/120/75/60/65/90 New Moves: Poison Fang, Gunk Shot Method of Evolution: Level-Up Ariados after beating a foe affected by Sticky Web, Spider Web or Electro Web Design/Desc.: A much more menacing looking Ariados with a darker, purple color scheme and an angry face symbol in its rear. Arachight now has the correct 4 pair of legs plus the additional legs on top of its rear. Head spike is larger while fangs are much sharper, with Arachnight also attaining compound eyes.
It is said some forests are so cluttered up with webs from Arachnight colonies that they become the king of the food chain, and while some nimble Pokemon might be able to survive around the vast webbing, beyond the silk Arachnight is extremely venomous and can see clearly even in the darkest nights thanks to its compound eyes.
Arachnight becomes an all around master at webs and venom, becoming a Technician, while also attaining Compound Eyes through evolution to see perfectly in the night. Poison Fang is pretty obvious, while Gunk Shot is an ever-so needed strong Poison move.
[Stage 3] Chaosol
(Chaos + Absol)
Typing: Dark/Fairy Ability: Magic Guard/Cloud Nine Hidden Ability: Justified Stats: 75/135/80/120/80/75 New Moves: Hurricane, Solar Beam, Hydro Pump, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam Method of Evolution: Level-Up Absol during a weather condition. Design/Desc.: Going from a messanger of disasters to a controller of disasters, Chaosol is a mythical and majestic creature with the power to both punish with disasters and stop them at will. Chaosol sports double head scythes, multiple tails, sharper claws, and more notably, a drum-like wheel around its torso where M-Absol's wings are, almost similar to Arceus' and referencing the japanese god of thunder Raijin.
A majestic being seen by few, Chaosol can start and end disasters in an instant. While Absol throughout history has always been seen in bad light, some cultures treat Chaosol as a divine being due to being able to end crop-destroying storms, sometimes unaware it also sometimes is the culprit behind these disasters.
As an almost legendary Pokemon with a very divine look, Dark/Fairy is a matching type for Chaosol, also reflecting the fact that the Absol line is not just made up of pure "Evil" type Pokemon. Many Weather-affected moves are given to Chaosol to perfectly match its disaster controlling nature, with many like Thunder and the weather summoning moves it already learning via Absol's TMs. Moonblast and Dazzling Gleam are well-deserved Special Fairy moves, which can come off of Chaosol's significantly higher SpA
[Stage 3] Forevenant (Forest / Forever + Revenant) Typing: Grass / Ghost Ability: Natural Cure / Frisk Hidden Ability: Harvest Stats: 100 / 130 / 85 / 75 / 90 / 65 (545 cannot exceed 545) New Moves: Shadow Sneak, Leaf Blade Height / Weight: 6'07 / 241.7 lbs Design/Desc.: Forevenant is much bulkier-looking and less wiry. Dark green vines radiating a dark energy appear around its arms, giving the impression of being muscular.
Name: Forestreant (forest + treant) Typing: Grass/Ghost Ability: Natural Cure | Pressure Hidden Ability: Harvest Stats: 105 / 140 / 76 / 92 / 86 / 46 (BST 545) New Moves: Sucker Punch, Pursuit, Nasty Plot, Mystical Fire, Mean Look Method of Evolution: Trade with Reaper Cloth Height / Weight: 2.0m / 96kg Design/Desc.: Becomes thicker and darker, some leaves become orangeish/golden, shares similarities with Dusknoir
Name: Ariadtres (Ariadne + tres, Spanish for three) Typing: Bug/Poison Ability: Swarm / Shed Skin Hidden Ability: Sniper Stats: 100 / 120 / 100 / 60 / 60 / 40 (BST 500) New Moves: Focus Energy, Parting Shot, U-Turn, Horn Leech Method of Evolution: Level up after making two or more pokemon faint in the same battle. Height / Weight: 1.3m / 45kg Design/Desc.: Silk visibly shown on its rear end. Horn gets bigger, legs get thicker. Green from Spinarak returns to its color palette, as stripes on its body.
Typing: Grass / Ghost Ability: Natural Cure / Regenerator Hidden Ability: Harvest Stats: 110 / 125 / 90 / 70 / 85 / 65 (545 cannot exceed 545) New Moves: Shadow Sneak, Power Whip, Baton Pass Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: Walking zombie tree can now regenerate limbs and such, so Regenerator replaces Frisk. It now has long vines wrapped around its body so Power Whip is added. Baton Pass for synergy with Natural Cure/Regenerator- maybe when passing Substitutes.
[Stage 3] Absite
Typing: Dark Ability: Pressure/Super Luck Hidden Ability: Forewarn Stats: 55 / 100 / 50 / 65 / 50 / 65 New Moves: Shadow Sneak, Moonlight, Parting Shot Removed Moves: Giga Impact, Hyper Beam Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: The warning Pokemon, it's horn glows when it predicts disaster.
[Stage 3] Penduloom by Pika Xreme Typing: Psychic Ability: No Guard / Download Hidden Ability: Inner Focus Stats:95 / 85 / 80 / 80 / 125 / 80 (545 cannot exceed 545) New Moves: Bulk Up, Play Rough, Slack Off
