Happy holidays,
JustCallMeFish ! The Secret Delibird heard your plea for a Scarf Ninetails/Baxcalibur offense team, and decided to give me a chance to put it together.

Before you read: This is my first time building a team for somebody else. I'm also not used to building offense. Feel free to modify this team as you see fit. I also wanna say that this team wouldn't have come together in the way it has without the advice of my friend Toffee. Thanks for that! Now let's go over what we got!
Ninetales-Alola @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Snow Cloak
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Blizzard
- Freeze-Dry
- Moonblast
- Dark Pulse
"Wait, what? Not Snow Warning? Joop, what were you thinking?" May be your first response. However! In testing, I found that having another snow setter allows Alolan Ninetales to focus on being a fast pivot that can outspeed most threats to hit with a 100% accurate Blizzard, while dodging attacks with Snow Cloak. Freeze Dry and Moonblast both provide great STAB coverage. Dark Pulse + Tera Dark gives Ninetales another great coverage option. Ninetails is usually strong enough to take a hit, but perhaps Tera Ice for stronger blizzards and freeze drys as well as maintaining the defense buff may provide more consistency to its survivability. I did not get the chance to try that though.
Baxcalibur @ Loaded Dice
Ability: Thermal Exchange
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Scale Shot
- Icicle Spear
- Earthquake
There isn't anything too special to say about this Bax set. It's a very basic offensive Loaded Dice set with Earthquake for coverage and tera poison for defensive coverage. I messed around with HD boots as well. This may be a better option with all the sticky webs running around, but I found more success going with more damage on LD. Bax can take a physical hit in the hail, so its not too bad to be slowed down.
Slowking-Galar @ Icy Rock
Ability: Regenerator
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 68 SpA / 148 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Chilly Reception
- Sludge Bomb
- Psychic Noise
- Taunt
Ahh, there's the snow setter! I have chosen Galarian Slowking with Chilly Reception to set the snow for the above two ice types. This team needed a bulky pokemon that can set Snow and take hits. Slowing does a great job of this with Regenerator. The snow runs out quicker than you think, so icy rock is useful to keep Snow Cloak up longer. Sludge Bomb and Psychic Noise are coverage, and Taunt is just covering another move slot for the most part. I play them like this - I lead the game with Slowking. Depending on who comes out, I either go for Taunt to stop them from doing status moves or Chilly Reception to allow Slowking to take a hit and go. I think the slot Taunt is covering can be taken by a couple different status moves. Cool stuff! The rest of the team doesnt take advantage of the snow as much, but this allows the team to be multifaceted. As well, the above team members can and do function outside of snow!
Palkia-Origin @ Lustrous Globe
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Blizzard
- Surf
- Spacial Rend
- Thunder Wave
Just a solid fast Palkia-O set. Blizzard lets them take advantage of snow. Thunder wave is nice useful speed control.
Magearna @ Leftovers
Ability: Soul-Heart
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Flash Cannon
- Draining Kiss
- Protect
Another simple set. Magearna gives this set a much needed bulky switch-in with good defensive type coverage. I like draining kiss for healing but y'know. You can tweak as necessary.
Zacian @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Intrepid Sword
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Play Rough
- Close Combat
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance
I like to think of this Zacian as the true anchor of this team. They are here to come in after the ice types have fallen, and wreck the rest of their team. The problem with ice types is that they are super frail - even Bax's dragon typing cant fully save it from this. Nothing like Zacian to pull everything together. I feel like hd boots is necessary in the sticky web meta but a healing item may be better. I tried Leftovers a few times but HD boots was just more useful.
So basically - you pilot this team by throwing out Slowking-Galar, setting up for the ice types, and going from there. I will say, scarf alolan ninetales really challenged me. I tried aurora veil snow warning scarf for a while but i just couldnt justify not having dark type coverage. This was very fun!! Thank you for the chance to make a team for ya.
