The OM Livetour Circuit is a set of weekly scheduled room tournaments held in the Other Metagames room on Pokemon Showdown. Over the course of 5 weeks and 20 tournaments, players will compete to earn points and qualify for an 8-player single elimination playoffs bracket. Over the course of the regular season, tournaments held will be Generation 9 Almost Any Ability, Balanced Hackmons, Godly Gift, Mix and Mega, and STABmons in a rotating fashion, and the playoffs bracket will consist of a best-of-5 set consisting of the aforementioned five metagames. The winner of the tournament will be awarded with a $50 USD cash prize, with the runner up taking home $25 USD prize. Please note that in order to accrue points and qualify for playoffs, you must have a valid non-banned Smogon account.

The point distribution for the scheduled room tournaments can be found here: adapted from Mashing's RoA Slam Scoring Table. In this tournament, players are encouraged to participate in all 20 room tournaments, but only their 8 best-scoring placements will be counted towards their final score.

RULES AND FAQS​
Each tournament will happen at the scheduled time in the Other Metagames room on Pokemon Showdown. These tournaments will be STANDARD ROOMTOURS, not following the traditional smogtour livetour format. These times are (in GMT +0) 19:00 on Friday, 13:00 on Saturday, 01:00 on Sunday, and 19:00 on Sunday. Alternatively, in GMT-4, these times are 15:00 Friday, 09:00 on Saturday, 21:00 on Saturday, and 15:00 on Sunday. All users of the Other Metas room are allowed to join the tournament and accrue points, but only those with a valid and non-banned Smogon account will be allowed to enter playoffs.

Players are required to post their participating alt in this thread to earn points.

Only a player's 8 best-scoring placements will be counted towards their final score to qualify for playoffs. This means that, if a player gains 10 points from 8 separate tournaments and then gains 12 points in their 9th tournament, their final score will be 82 points and not 92 points. This rule is implemented to prevent one specific timezone that can attend all of the 20 tournaments from gaining an advantage above others. Earning more points than you already have earned in a previous tour will always bump the lowest-scoring tour from that player's 8 best finishes.

The $50 and $25 Winner and Runner-Up prizes will be paid via PayPal. If you are interested in contributing to this tournament's prize pool (either publicly or anonymously), send me a Smogon PM and I will get you in contact with OM Leaders. Any contribution will be split with 2/3 going towards the winner and 1/3 going towards the runner-up.

Playoffs will be a Best-of-5 (first-to-3) single-elimination bracket with the five metagames played in the roomtours. The player with the higher seed will choose the first format to play, with the loser of each match choosing the next format. In the event that two players share the same seed, the default first format will be Almost Any Ability, unless both players agree to start with a different format. Playoff metagames will be locked at the end of Week 5. If players in finals agree to a prize split, their agreement will be approved and prizes will be distributed accordingly.

Tournaments will begin on Friday, September 22nd. Please reference the Schedule tab of the OM Livetours 2023 Spreadsheet for all other information.

RE: Registering Alts
Following a discussion with OM Leadership, we have decided that players will need to pre-identify their alt in this thread if they intend to gain points towards playoffs. You are only allowed to use one alt to gain points. This is being done to prevent edge-case dishonesty and other cases where a winner may not be able to be identified. Please note that you will only be able to earn points AFTER your alt has been identified, and any tournaments that are played while not on this identified alt will not be counted towards your final score. Please identify the alt you will be playing on in this thread.

RE: OM Room Blacklisted Users
A user who is currently blacklisted from the OM room requested to be temporarily unbanned from the room to participate in livetours. Unfortunately, this request could not be granted. Users who are blacklisted from the OM room will not be allowed to participate in this tournament if their blacklist extends beyond the date of the final roomtour.

RE: Tours Below Eight Users
The first Godly Gift tournament only had six entrants. This scoring formula was not present in the original plan. From this Godly Gift tournament going forward, tournaments with less than eight users will award two points to the winner and one point to the runner up. Pannu has earned two points from this tournament, and Quantum Tesseract has earned one.

Re: The Week 4 STABmons Livetour
The Week 4 STABmons livetour was not started due to a miscommunication (my bad). An additional STABmons livetour that will replace the one that didn't happen is being scheduled for 24 hours after the livetour was meant to take place. This livetour will start approximately 22 hours after this post is posted, or at 9PM GMT -4 on Sunday, October 15.

The Week 4 Godly Gift livetour was not started due to a miscommunication (my bad). An additional Godly Gift livetour that will replace the one that didn't happen is being scheduled for 24 hours after the livetour was meant to take place. This livetour will start approximately 21 hours after this post is posted, or at 9AM GMT -4 on Sunday, October 22.

do you hate converting time zones? i know i do! here's an expanded time zone table for the tournaments, if your time zone isn't here, then one within a few hours most likely is. color-coded so that people with normal sleep schedules know which ones they're likely going to be awake for.
