Bo3: pdt vs. deadline - deadline in recent weeks has been very powerful, being able to defeat strong bo3 slots with just the power of a few minutes. predicting deadline to take it in a clean two, but perhaps daylight savings time could play a factor into how the series goes.

As a general rule of thumb, there are never extensions in team tournaments, and I don’t see why this would be an exception.

Today is Thursday night and by now you both should’ve known each other’s availability for the week for the last 2-3 days.

I’m on phone, so I only saw the message I was tagged in. This is not my week to run it because I’m very busy and on vacation, so I haven’t been keeping up. I only responded because I was tagged and this is clear cut.

That doesn’t really change the extension thing at all though. They had 4 full days to determine if a time could work or one/both needed a substitute. If you get subbed in, you always assume and default to the scheduled time the person you were subbed in for had. If they didn’t schedule previously, then there’s the same culpability there.

If we were to suddenly allow extensions for substitute pairings in team tournaments, which there is absolutely no rule or precedent for at all, then what stops teams from abusing this, what point is the extension being taken for granted or stopped, etc. — it all becomes arbitrary.

This has been a constant in team tournaments for ages and the fact that a substitution occurred changes nothing
