Greetings, reviving an old thread to give a (one-man done, scuffed) playoffs scenario description.

Playoff Scenarios: What does YOUR team need to make Playoffs?
NDPL II

The 100% Cutoff this year is 8

Couple of notes:

• For the sake of determining who makes playoffs, the Blissmillahs vs Delcatties outcome is irrelevant
• There are a number of scenarios here that lead to tiebreakers, in which case the two (or three teams, in one specific outcome) will have to head-to-head with each other after Week 7 has concluded, in order to determine who makes playoffs.

• If Cubchoos win vs Dragonites
  • Playoffs-bound
• If Cubchoos tie vs Dragonites
  • If Braixens/Scizors tie → Playoffs-bound
  • Else, if Drifloons and Skarmories outcome is 4-4 / 5-3 / 6-2 / vice versa → Playoffs-bound
  • Else, if Drifloons and Skarmories outcome is 7-1 / vice versa → Tiebreaker with winner
  • Else, if Drifloons and Skarmories outcome is 8-0 / vice versa → You’re out!
• If Cubchoos lose vs Dragonites
  • Drifloons must tie with Skarmories, and Braixens/Scizors must not tie. If this doesn’t happen, you’re out!
  • If this does happen, however:
    • If the Dragonite loss is by 5-3 → Playoffs-bound
    • If the Dragonite loss is by 6-2 → Tiebreaker with Dragonites, as well as Braixens only if they lose by 5-3
    • If the Dragonite loss is by 7-1 / 8-0 → You’re out!

Braixens

• If Braixens win vs Scizors
  • Playoffs-bound
• If Braixens tie vs Scizors
  • If Cubchoos lose
    • Playoffs-bound
  • If Cubchoos don’t lose
    • If Drifloons and Skarmories outcome is 4-4 / 5-3 / vice versa → Playoffs-bound
    • Else, if Drifloons and Skarmories outcome is 6-2 / vice versa → Tiebreaker with winner
    • Else, if Drifloons and Skarmories outcome is 7-1 / 8-0 / vice versa → You’re out!
• If Braixens lose vs Scizors
  • Only 1 “Magic” scenario where Braixens can make a tiebreaker with Cubchoos and Dragonites:
    • Braixens (3) - Scizors (5), Cubchoos (2) - Dragonites (6), Drifloons (4) - Skarmories (4)
  • Literally everything else → You’re out!

Scizors

• If Scizors win vs Braixens
  • Playoffs-bound
• If Scizors tie vs Braixens
  • If Cubchoos lose
    • If Drifloons and Skarmories outcome is 4-4 → Playoffs-bound
    • Else, if Drifloons and Skarmories outcome is 5-3 / vice versa → Tiebreaker with winner
    • Else, if Drifloons and Skarmories outcome is 6-2 / 7-1/ 8-0 / vice versa → You’re out!
  • If Cubchoos don’t lose
    • You’re out!
• If Scizors lose vs Braixens
  • You’re out!

Skarmories / Drifloons

• In order to be safe, the team HAS to win. A loss / tie is not good enough for play-offs.
• For the winner, here is a table of what needs to happen for the other 2 matches:

Braixens and Scizors tie	Winner wins by 7-1 / 8-0 → Playoffs-bound Winner wins by 6-2 → Tiebreaker with Braixens Winner wins by 5-3 → You’re out!	← Same as left	Winner wins by 6-2 / 7-1 / 8-0 → Play-offs bound Winner wins by 5-3 → Tiebreaker with Scizors
Braixens and Scizors don’t tie	You’re out!	Winner wins by 8-0 → Playoffs-bound Winner wins by 7-1 → Tiebreaker with Cubchoos Winner wins by 6-2 / 5-3 → You’re out!	Playoffs-bound

Dragonites

• There is only one scenario where Dragonites are playoffs-bound, and the conditions for this scenario are:
  • Drifloons and Skarmories tie
  • Braixens and Scizors don’t tie
  • And of course, Dragonites must beat Cubchoos, but:
    • If the win is by 5-3 → You’re out!
    • If the win is by 6-2 → Tiebreaker with Cubchoos, as well as with Braixens only if they lose 3-5
    • If the win is by 7-1 / 8-0 → Playoffs-bound
• Anything else: You’re out!
