Greetings! The objective of this thread is to lay out a visual list of all relevant speed tiers in the National Dex metagame. If you have any recommendations, please do not hesitate to post. However, do not suggest speed creeping.

The main thing that should probably be mentioned that isn’t right now is +2 Kartana imo, Airstream boosts can get it to that level quickly. Not really relevant if/when Dmax is banned but for now it’s worth thinking about. It’s 696 iirc

I have left it out for that exact reason, as that would justify many other speed tiers for several other Max Airstream-users, which will most likely have to be removed as soon as the Dynamax suspect test concludes.

While they are a little match up reliant, +2 Genesect is worth mention because both Rock Polish and Shift Gear sets do exist in the metagame.

It’s been a while since this has updated, but Rillaboom and Talonflame should be added with neutral and positive natures, and Scarf for Rillaboom too.
Rillaboom is Tapu Bulu but if Tapu Bulu was good. Scarf is relevant as it lets Rillaboom outspeed positive nature Dragapult and Scarf Heatran, while Tapu Bulu only speed ties Scarf Dracovish.

Talonflame now has Dual Wingbeat and Hurricane, both of which are Flying type moves that let it use HDBs and don’t do recoil to Talonflame, making it so Talonflame has a niche, not one that makes it top tier, but one that should be noted.

I think Mega Aerodactyl could be worth to list out of its recent rise to viability with Dual Wingbeat and most notably for the purposes in here Dragon Dance.
I'll go ahead and list some basic speed tiers from it to make its indexing easier:

With 31 IVs and 252 EVs it gets to 399, this after a single boost (+1) is 598, and after two (+2), it's 798

With 31 IVs and 252 EVs and a positive nature it gets to 438, this after a single boost (+1) is 657, and after two (+2), it's 876

It's to be noted that 657 is above the entire list bar Dragapult at +2, just by a single point above +2 Jolly M-Charizard X.
