Hey Smogon!
Details have been finalized for the first Gameclucks Pokemon Tournament Series!
June 9th for the inaugural Tournament.
VGC 2012 Swiss Tournament Format.
Entrance Fee: $5 Venue Fee + $3 Prize Pot
Venue Fees go to the owner of the establishment for allowing us the use of his space.
The Prize Pot will be shared between first and second place. 70% going to 1st and 25% going to 2nd, with 3rd getting their Prize Pot back.
Registration will start at 12:00 am and the Tourney will start at 1:30 pm
We'll be taking online sign-ups here:http://challonge.com/tournaments/signup/ebpj6ooscj
I've linked the Venue here:http://tinyurl.com/7swppy4
Please note the Google Address is wrong the correct address is: 3333 184th St SW, Suite D, Lynnwood, WA 98037
We're trying to make this into a Monthly event so I hope to see a lot of people come out. I've organized tournaments before both Pokemon and other video games, but as this will be my first time trying to run a monthly event, there will be a lot of trial and error involved.
Also shameless plug I've started a Seattle Pokemon Players group on Facebook where we try to have monthly meetups in and around Seattle: https://www.facebook.com/groups/SeattlePokemonPlayers/
Thanks and hope to see you come out to the tournament!
