Trends
  • There's a much higher centralization on Arceus. While before there were 6 somewhat common forms (Fairy, Ghost, Poison, Ground, Fire, Water) now there were only 3 in the former 3. Ground in particular had quite the sharp decline in usage.
  • Speaking of drops, there it was a significant usage drop of Mewtwo-Mega-X, Flutter Mane, Groudon Zacian, Necrozma-Ultra and specially Pheromosa.
  • Meanwhile there it was a Rise on usage of Miraidon, Diancie, Giratina-Altered, Dialga-Origin, Eternatus and Swampert-Mega. Deoxys-Normal obviously got replaced by Deoxys-Attack in most ocassions.
    • If I had to make an educated guess, it would be somewhat of my fault, because I made people more aware about the better Arceus forms and most importantly, suggested people to make their teams Anti-mewtwo, which indeed caused way more fairy and ghost Arceus, More Miraidons.
  • Winrates seem more normalized now that there's more proper matcups. That being said, while Dondozo and Dialga-Origin are seeing more usage, they're still kinda terrible, and Yveltal had a bad week. Meanwhile M-Diancie, Kartana, Blissey, Celesteela and specially Arceus Ghost are incredibly threatening.
    • The latter can be easily explained in being a setup sweeper who punishes BH's overreliance on imposter Chansey; Giratina is used with the same purpose but with lesser results. The others seems more like more polished teams and experience. Other teams seem to be punished for overrelying on Mewtwo which is a natural meta progress.
  • In terms of new trends, we're seeing a bit of M-Lopunny and a lot of Blissey. The latter is mostly used on double imposter cores which have gained a lot of traction, although some are even willing to use Blissey as their sole imposter, like being able to check arceus-ghost. Swampert-Mega had gained value via checking almost every Miraidon set and Melmetal is just a solid fur coat user with 135/143 physical bulk and steel type. Outside from that there's not a lot of shifting outside less fighting types.
Also, for everyone who thinks I'll do a more detailed review when the former one took me literal days of unpaid work, I think this meme will fit you perfectly.
