This legend takes place in Hoenn, around 1000 years before the events of Brandan and May's journeys. In the distant past, (unbound) Hoopa was freed from a temple in the region's deserts. It has been a massive issue for the region ever since, wrecking havoc for wherever it passes, using its portal to either teleport itself around the region or force others through space or time, causing wild Pokémon to go beserk, mind-controling other Pokémon and warping the weather around the region. However, it seems Hoopa is unable to leave the Hoenn region, due to some sort of Imprision Crystal binding it. Hoopa's main goal in the storyline is to find said crystal and destroy it so it could spread its destruction to other parts of the world.
The people of Hoenn have partially taken refugee in what today is Sootopolis, isolating themselves from the main region for safety's sake. Among these people, there has been a plan formed to defeat Hoopa, in searching for the Imprision Crystal and creating some sort of artifact to seal Hoopa's powers for good. These people, who call themselves the "Ironwilled", work together with a facility of Explorers in Sootopolis to get around the Hoenn region and look for the crystal.
However, another plan had been brought up by another group of people. A rare shooting star seems to be making its way to the Hoenn region, and these people, called the "Starstruck", plan on making a wish to the star to get rid of Hoopa. They go around the Hoenn region, looking for information about the tales surrounding said star to make sure that they can pinpoint when and where it will fall, alongside making sure it can even grant the wish.
The player character would have been transported to the region by one of Hoopa's rings, getting knocked unconcious but saved by the people of Sootopolis. From here on you could basically repeat the inro of Legends Arceus: Player does something to get the local people's attention and is tasked with helping them in their field searching. The story would mostly boil down to the player helping either group of people with moving their plans forward. As for the field itself, this is how the region is currently split:
- Goshenite Plains, the part within the pink square. Compared to modern Hoenn, it does not have as much vegetation, and none of the cities exist yet. It is a vast, open field (most comparable to the Obsidian Fieldlands), with the northest part of the area having more hills and the midmost part having a forest. To the south of the continent's shore is a far away island, which players would only be able to access after they have the Surf ride. In said island, you can find the Ironwilled's base, alongside a cave with minerals and murals.
- Heliodor Shores, the part within the yellow area. Compared to modern Hoenn, the sea level is somewhat lower, and not as much of the land had been eroded yet, making it have more land than its modern-day counterpart, and it also has no cities. On the land side, a short section of a forest can be found at the northwest part of the area. Near that is a mountain, mostly surrounded by sea, but it is accesable by a land path. The Heliodor Shores would overall consist of sandy shores, with rocky paths and muddy low fields.
- Emerald Jungle, the part within the red area. Consists of a dense rainforest, having vegetation overtaking the place and even having lakes and swamps within the jungle itself. In it, you'll find tribes of people livin in the trees, who are skilled in living with nature so they refused to evacuate to Sootopolis. These tribes would later become Foretree City. As these people are more in touch with the wilderness, they have a better connection to the Pokémon surrounding them.
- Aquamarine Archipelago, the part within the red square. This part is mostly water, being relatively more flooded compared to its modern day counterpart. In here, the player would use their Surf ride to get from one island to the next, and most importantly, dive down to explore the ocean. Here you'd find many reefs and underwater ravines to explore, while on the surface you will find more people who decided to move away from the main continent to hide from Hoopa's rampage; as well as Starstruck people diving in search of submerged ruins. These people give origin to what would later become Pacifidlog.
- Morganite Mountains, the part within the turquoise square. This is the dryest area in the region, consisting of cliffs, mountains and a desert. Compared to modern Hoenn, it does not have any forest section bleeding into it, and Meteor Falls has a lot less craters. A primitive version of Fallarbor Town has been built and serves as the base of operations for the Starstruck, as they research fallen meteorites in hope of finding more answers regarding The Wish. The desert is where Hoopa is most often seen.
In each of these areas would reside a Pokémon mind-controlled by Hoopa, overlooking the area in search for the crystal (Stand-in for Nobles, basically). In every part of the region, players may run into Mirages, places that have been temporarely teleported whole by Hoopa. These include places such as Mirage Towers and Mirage Isles, and in them, players will find rare Pokémon and items, similar to Distortions in PLA. However, if the player were to stay for too long in a mirage spot, it would make Hoopa aware of their presence, causing Hoopa to send enraged Pokémon to attack the player.
Other than that, it is worth noting that the Hoenn region is characterized by its harsh weather. Places such as the Jungle, the Desert, the shores and the Mountains could very easily be written to have constant weather activity.
By the end of the game, Hoopa's mind-controlled mons would all have been defeated by the player and as such, Hoopa would come after you. This would also be around the time that the shooting star falls to Earth. Hoopa, to prevent the people from succeeding in making their wish, uses its controlling powers on the fallen star - which turns out to be an asleep Jirachi. (Jirachi being possessed could also be a new form for the mon). Hoopa then forces Jirachi to battle the player, and while the player would come out on top at the end, this battlecauses Jirachi to wake up. Hoopa wishes to find the Crystal, and the climax would come down to the player preventing Hoopa from reaching the crystal while both the Ironwilled and the Startstruck wish for Jirachi to help them. Jirachi would then use the crystal to make the Prision Bottle, confining Hoopa's malevolence and power while letting Hoopa live with a weaker, non-villainous form.
Well that was a juicy piece of fanfiction, hope yalls enjoyed lmfao
