Yo-Kai Watch Thread

Hahaha not this time Snessy
I LOVE Yo-Kai Watch, I even used to watch it as a smol bean, in my dad's bed of course :blobuwu:
I also loved to watch Wibble Wobble from youtubers, and I'd watch 'em a LOT. If the Gacha thing is what you're talking about, well it's heccin stupid.
A good example is the Crank-A-Kai:
You can use tokens to get the Yo-Kai you want in that game, or you can spend your Y-Money on it, and then you're forced to pay for additional Y-Money to grind that Crank-A-Kai. If you ain't a Youtuber who gets ad revenue, you best be prepared for stealing your parent's money out of their wallets.
I LOVE Yo-Kai Watch. It's been a wild trip through my childhood (and maybe a cash grab.) I watched the show, I watch youtubers play the games, and I just want to give it all of its attention, so, what do YOU think of Yo-Kai Watch? Anything that this game needs to do when it comes back? It's all your decision!

:blobstop: PLEASE NOTE: I am not harming the creators of Yo-Kai Watch and the games in general, this is just a thread to give all your opinions. If you don't like opinions please leave. :blobstop:

This game is a complete nostalgia mine for me honestly, since it has so many fond memories. I would snuggle up on a couch and watch season 1, all nice and stuff. I had to borrow my sister's 3DS to play it, and I couldn't get past the big oni guy with the bat, because I still have yet to beat Metal Gear Solid. But, once I got after that point, the game was incredibly fun. Like, INCREDIBLY. I loved the doctor Madman, since his bossfight was so cool, and the clown guy, and literal cthullu, and the crowning jewel of this all was Wobblewok, the true final boss. Now, this is how you make a bossfight.

Smh, I wish I had a 3DS back in the day so I could actually play the games. I didn't have one :blobpensive:
There's also this youtuber called AbdallahSmash026, you should definetly go check him out, he makes good Yo-Kai Watch content like this:

The best game is 3 by far. Even though it's the easiest, it has far more content than any of the others. There are so many quests to do with both characters, so many memorable yo-kai to collect, and so many dumb things to do that don't affect anything. Blasters T is the equivalent of Pokemon having an entire Mystery Dungeon game as a side mode. I believe it's the biggest game in terms of file size on the 3ds (Xenoblade 3D might be bigger) too. Play the game if you haven't already.

I loved the doctor Madman
Have you played the later games? He gets so much character development, he must have been a favorite among the developers too. The names of the turtles he adopts are even references to the Squirtle line :blobuwu:

Edit: The anime is a mixed bag for me. The original was alright, Shadowside was really cool, I haven't seen ! yet but I've heard it's just more of the original, and Gakuen Y was amazing. The new Note anime came out a few days ago, but it's just another reboot of the original. Not too exciting.

I played the second one, and he's pretty cool and gets a bit of development in that one too. But honestly, that was a BANGER of a bossfight.

Also, Adallah was the guy who got me past the big red guy with the bat a long time ago, and man, HE HASN'T GOT ANY WORSE! I used to worship this guy when I was younger.

That was a great fight, but I think the best ones are the secret final bosses in the first 2 (Wobblewok, Kat Kraydel, Kabuking) and Rongo Swirll in 3 (though that fight was pretty much carried by Rongo Swirll's theme. That's a banger if I ever heard one and it fits the fight so well)

Completely right. You hit it EXACTLY on the bullseye. The thing that makes these battles really good is how that merge a bunch of things you've learned and done so far and makes you put them all into use, creating a magnificent battle of epic poportions. That's how you make a good boss battle, take everything you've learned ( Pinning, Type bonusses, special and physical, team comp, etc.) and throws all of them into a battle that is impossible to brute force. It's a final test, and a banger of one that you never forget. Every single game should take these ideals when creating a boss battle. Every. Single. One.
