Well some of you may know me but for those of you which don't I love making teams and because I am impatient I always make new ones but I think I will stick with this team because I love the idea of baton pass teams and once you get going it is difficult to stop, but without further a due this is the team.
Volbeat (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Tail Glow
- Substitute
- Baton Pass
- Encore
I wanted to abuse tail glow as I feel like it is an underrated threat in the current ou meta. Tail glow is standard as it makes the receiver a huge offensive presence and in some cases I can even get two boosts in and which point the receiver can cleanly 2HKO even the most specially bulky Chansey, the reason for the miss on a HKO is that he has no super effective moves. Sub allows scouting, and along with prankster can build up early pressure, encore messes up set up mons and again abuses prankster and baton pass is standerd. The ev spread is nabbed straight from the main site as it does allow him to survive a surprisingly amount of physical attacks including brelooms Mach punch and mamoswines ice shard however in the face of those mons I baton pass.
Ninjask (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Protect
- Substitute
- Baton Pass
- Bug Buzz
Now do I really need to explain this mon? The whole point is to build up speed easily, protect and sub allows this and baton pass is to well pass the boosts, bug buzz is chosen as the move of choice as it abuses tail glow boosts and can KO a few mons such as Latios and alakazam without a sash.
Nidoking (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
This dude is my sweeper with enough boosts under his belt and his awesome coverage he putrights sweep. Now I have chosen him for a few reasons, his above average bulk for a sweeper, toxic immunity, life orb and sheer force boost, and lastly his awesome movepool, the ev spread is standard sweeper spread, ice beam, thunderbolt and flamethrower is for coverage and they provide coverage and huge power and earth power is the STAB move of choice and nails a fair few pokemon.
Espeon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Baton Pass
- Stored Power
- Calm Mind
At this pint I needed espeon, taunt would screw me over otherwise, and phasers and spike setters would take their toll on my team otherwise, another thing which I'm using is defensive boosts from calm mind, stored power is my plan B if nidoking doesn't work out as with enough boosts accumulated it hits hard. Sub is chosen for protection against powerful physical attackers and the ev spread allows me set up on pokemon like heatran, politoad, and ninetales.
Vaporeon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 16 HP / 252 Def / 240 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Acid Armor
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Baton Pass
Bth vaporeon and scizor is my physical defensive core, together they try to accumulate boosts on the physical defensive side and together they achieve that very well. However I am more pleased with this little peach as scald and ice bea, hits very hard with tail glow boosts, and in some cases I can even sweep with vaporeon especially if a few speed boosts are passed.
Scizor (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Baton Pass
- Iron Defense
- Bullet Punch
This is the one pokemon I am unsure about as it dent benefit from tail glow howev I needed something to sponge dragon moves with and he does that and he also supports the team with sub and baton pass however outside of that scizor doesn't do much else.
Ok I haven't finished this RMT yet but it's very late in my time zone and I will get back onto it tomorrow however I hope you get the genral gist of it so far and please rate I really like the idea of baton pass and its the play style which I find most fun.
