Why on earth is their an evasion clause and yet no paralysis clause? With evasion the game now turns into a game filled with luck (lol) but when you use a 100% accurate Thunder wave or Stunspore (which almost has the same effect). It's all good. How in the world is this not frowned on by the Smogon community ? I just don't get it. Isn't the Smogon meta suppose to minimize luck ? Then why do we keep a move that now makes your pokemon's hit stat 75%? The hypocrisy is truly amazing. Then there's all this talk about not having moves that centralize the meta game and yet SR is a ok. Pathetic really.

Why the Meta Game is filled with hypocrisy

1.) ground-types are immune to twave and paralysis can be played around because not everyone gets it. meanwhile, almost everything gets double team and it can't be played around outside of aura sphere (aerial ace, swift, shock wave, etc suck)
2.) paralysis has utility and strategy in lowering speed and has actual player interaction, not to mention something like sub/magic mirror/etc can stop twave while evasion moves only have 1 reason to be used, and that is to introduce an unnecessary luck factor into the game. there is no interaction outside of taunt and it doesn't have any other reason to be used
3.) sleep makes your pokemon hit's stat 0%. fact of the matter is it goes back to player interaction, if someone paralyzes us, we can rest off, heal bell, aromatherapy, etc and there's also the point that once something is paralyzed - thats it. it cant be paralyzed over and over again, unlike double team which can be spammed no matter the scenario to boost evasion
