Why the Electivire hate?

I’m still fairly new to competitive battling, but I’m starting to get the hang of it. My first UU team I built did well, but lacking in synergy. I pretty much threw together top metagame threats and played 0_0. the main goal of this team is to support Electivire in a sweep. I know that sounds weird but he does pretty well with some support. Even though he does a good job on this team, I am looking for a better replacement for him. In particular a powerful mixed sweeper (speed does not matter to me as long as it is not below base 60 because this team uses parashuffler to remedy low speed).

The team at a glance:

Deoxys-D @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Hp /68 Def /188 Sp.D
Nature:Careful

-Stealth rock
-Spikes
-Night Shade
-Recover
My lead poke. He effectively sets up entry hazards and when he needs to... recovers and sets up more hazards. Night Shade is there for some reliable damage. His main role on the team is to break focus sashes that could potentially ruin Electivire’s sweep. I’m not to sure about the EVs on this set so recommendations are definitely welcome on those.

Dusclops @ Eviolite
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252Hp /96 Def /160 Sp.D
Nature: Sassy

-Toxic
-Will-o-Wisp
-Pain Spilt
-Night Shade

Dusclops took over two roles in my team spin-blocking and spreading status so I could get rid of Mismagius and Murkrow. The only problem with set is Dusclops doesn't really have a reliable recovery move. Toxic is for special sweepers and and WoW is for physical sweepers. Pain Split works really good with Dusclops' low Hp. He is my mixed wall for my team and does really well at covering multiple roles.

Spr_5b_466.png

Electivire @ Expert Belt
Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 196 Atk /60 Sp.A /252 Spe
Nature: Lonely

-Cross chop
-Flamethrower
-Wild Charge
-Hidden Power Ice

I know that when you read the goal of this team you were probably thought... this guys is so stupid trying to use a Electivire... am i right. His goal is to basically just kill everything that stands in his way. His average speed is cured by my parashuffler Murkrow, and focus sashes not being a problem with entry hazard support. He can effectively use Motor Drive to make the opponent think twice about using an electric move on Gorebyss.

Spr_5b_330.png

Flygon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Hp /252 Sp.A /252 Spe
Nature: Mild

-Draco Meteor
-Giga Drain
-Fire Blast
-Earth Power

Mismagius really didn't work as well with this team as I though she would. I was in need of a better special sweeper for this slot so I added Flygon. I got walled by Gastro several times so I added giga Drain for that reason. Let me know what you guys think of this set as far as being viable. I really enjoy crushing walls with Draco Meteor. If there is an even better special sweeper(preferably non boosting) out there please post that poke.

Spr_5b_232_m.png

Donphan @ leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Hp /252 Atk /4 Spe
Nature: Adamant

-Rapid spin
-Earthquake
-Assurance
-Ice shard

Donphan serves as a physical sweeper and a backup if Electivire goes down. I desperately needed a rock resistance as well as a rapid spinner. Donphan has the ability to beat spin-blockers with its move Assurance and then after the spin-blocker is disposed off he can rapid spin as he pleases. Earthquake is very powerful off base 120 attack and STAB and a 100 base power move... anything that doesn’t resist or isn’t immune to ground moves will be hit extremely hard.

Spr_5b_291.png

Ninjask @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Hp /176 Atk /80 Speed
Nature: Adamant

-Swords Dance
-Baton Pass
-X-Scissor
-Substitute

This spot has had so much turnover its not even funny anymore. I have had Smeargle, Huntail, Gorebyss, Milotic, and Venomoth. I have yet to find the perfect poke for this slot. If the right poke is a Bper, a sweeper, or a wall, I have no idea. This is the most major issue with this team. the problem with Bper's is that they really can't fight for themselves and they only rarely work(the way I use them). So if I could get so reccomendations for this slot that would be helpful.

So anyways that’s my team. I have found that donphan is really falling behind with this team so I need a better rapid spinner... That is not Hitmontop I don't like hitmontop due to his ability of not being able to beat ghost switch ins. Thank you for taking the time to read my RMT. I'm looking forward to hearing some feedback. Thanks.

-You said that one of Deo-D's main purposes was to aid in Magmortar's sweep, but you don't have one...
-Fix Murkrow's MH to Prankster, as well as using Sub > Whirlwind. Whirlwind with Prankster has -5 priority, not +1, and forces Murkrow to take a hit, most likely something that could score a huge chunk on it.
-Evire probably should have some Sp. Atk EV's to Atk, as it is his stronger stat.

im sorry I originally had a magmortar instead of electivire i missed that when I edited... My bad. It seems like I just wrote a couple things wrong. I'll fix the errors. and if Murkrow has sub instead of Whirlwind he wont be a parashuffler... I was aware of whirlwind being -5 I just forgot about it at the time I was typing this.

And if there is another parashuffler in UU please let me know so i can replace murkrow with it.

I dont see any huge weaknesses this team is pretty solid if i were to replace Evire i would use sharpedo its a great mixed attacker and with speed boost you can replace something with murkrow.

I have tried Sharpedo and was very impressed with him. I'll try him with this team and see how it works. I was trying to mix things up, but I guess you can't go wrong with a beast like Sharpedo.

Murkrow's description has a mention of Magmortar and Mischievous Heart. I believe that's E-Vire/Prankster?

Anyway...

-Venomoth > Gorebyss in terms of Baton Passing, having a sleep-inducing move and a great move that raises 3 stats is very nice.

-Mismagius could be used as a Perish Trapper, unless you want to keep your set.

SmashPass is just plain better than QuiverPass. If you have a matchup where your Venomoth has to Baton Pass and the special attacker you want to get the Quiver Dance will be walled, you're boned, while you can SmashPass to any attacker effectively, and White Herb gets rid of the defense drops (or in Saxon's case, Mental Herb gets rid of Taunt). And Gorebyss can sweep after a Shell Smash, while Venomoth has trouble.

Have you ever played RU? Venomoth can sweep effectively, he and lilligant are the top two threats, gorebyss cannot sleep pokemon.

I am not looking for a Quiver passer. I am mainly looking for a passer to Electivire that can either pass speed boosts or sword dances. But thank you though. I do agree with water warrior about Smashpass being better than Quiver pass. the reason I replaced Gorebyss is because... she relies on Mental herb because she is so frail(and Electivire isn't the bulkiest of pokes either) so she cant use focus sash.

These are some Baton Passers that might work... (I doubt it though).

-Absol with Hone Claws/Swords Dance
- Durant with Iron Defense/Hone Claws/Agility

These are very gimmicky, but might work.

They are a little too gimmicky to work I think. Absol might work if it werent that frail but thanks again. Smeargle probably performed the best out of all of them but sometimes he was too slow too get the job done. I am thinking of just adding another special sweeper for the spot and just ditch the whole baton pass thing since its not very reliable... Any thoughts on my rapid spinner issue guys?
