Why is Medicham better than Gallade?

For all I see, Gallade has higher attack then Medicham as well as Night Slash to get rid of Cresselia. What is it that makes Medicham better than Gallade offensively?
 
Medicham has higher attack and focus punch/elemental punches/reversal. Gallade has slightly better defenses, leaf blade, close combat, status moves, swords dance. IMO, they are even.
 
Simple answer: it's apples and oranges. I think Gallade is the more dangerous Pokemon because Medicham is insanely frail and relies a lot on prediction to put a hurting, while Gallade pretty much shuts down all common dangers to Fighting types with one of his many status moves.
 
Oh...I thought Huge Power would only double the base attack.

Wow...So that means Medicham has the highest attack in standards.
 
It's like this:
Gallade is more of a "slow and painful" (as a reference to it using status moves), while Medicham is "fast but painless" (reference to Medicham OHKOing things with Pure Power Choice Banded Boosted attacks)
 
Oh yeh, Thick Club doubles its attack right. But Marowak is meh. Low speed and crap attacks keep it from shining. (thought Shiny Marowak looks like a tree)
 
O wait, I forgot choice band, with choice band medicham and others has higher attack than Marowak. But Marowak is still cooler imo because he can pump his attack up with swords dance and can use all his attacks.

Seriously though, I dont think medicham is better than gallade or vise versa. They IMO are very useful, but its really up to the person who uses it
 
As Mekkah said Medicham and Gallade arent really comparable except for their typing. They play different roles, Medicham is an absurdely hard hitting Choice Bander while Gallade is capable of incapacitating threats with its various statusing moves while still being able to hit hard due to its high attack,

Gallade gets the elemental punches too, from Emerald, but you wouldn't know it from the trade threads...

Medicham gets... a pretty much shit movepool w/ only the punches, hjk, fp, psycho cut and bullet punch, while Gallade gets shitloads :|
 
Medicham's movepool is good enough for the job it usually has to do, and it even gets Baton Pass.

In any case this is asked and answered, and the thread title is misleading anyway.
