[SET COMMENTS]
Whirlpool Tapu Fini aims to trap and KO Pokemon that cannot really hurt it such as Toxapex, Clefable lacking Thunder, Heatran, and Slowbro with the combination of Whirlpool, Nature's Madness, Taunt, and status immunity from Misty Terrain. It also retains the ability to check threats like Heatran and Ash-Greninja. However, it is prone to being worn down due to its lack of reliable recovery and the chip damage it takes when trying to eliminate these Pokemon. Taunt prevents Pokemon like Clefable, Toxapex, Slowbro, and Blissey from using recovery moves, letting Tapu Fini efficiently KO them after trapping them. Moonblast is run to effectively check Ash-Greninja and Hydreigon. The given Speed EVs let it outspeed Modest Heatran, with the other non-HP EVs dumped in Special Defense to optimally deal with threats like Ash-Greninja.
Tapu Fini fits best on bulky offense teams, where it partners up with offensive Pokemon such as Mega Lopunny, Ash-Greninja, Hawlucha, and Weavile that appreciate it trapping checks such as Toxapex and Clefable. Tapu Fini hates entry hazards, so Defoggers like Corviknight and Kartana make for good teammates. Tapu Fini is vulnerable to Grass-types like Rillaboom, Serperior, and Kartana, so good checks to them like Tangrowth, Mega Scizor, and Corviknight are great partners. In return, Tapu Fini checks Heatran for them. Pokemon like Gliscor, Amoonguss, and Galarian Slowking can check Electric-types like Tapu Koko, Magnezone, and Zeraoara for it. Lastly, physical threats appreciate Misty Terrain, like Mega Medicham, Mega Mawile, and Weavile.

Other Options
=============
Scald can be used over Moonblast, as it can hit Heatran and potentially burn threats like Rillaboom and Landorus-T, but it's weaker and can't significantly damage Ash-Greninja, Hydreigon, and Weavile. A Whirlpool set with Choice Scarf and Trick over Taunt can also revenge kill Pokemon such as Ash-Greninja and Mega Medicham, trapping foes after it sheds its Choice Scarf with Trick, but it is much less reliable at trapping.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Grass-types and Grass-type Coverage**: Grass-types such as Rillaboom, Ferrothorn, Serperior, Amoonguss, and Assault Vest Tangrowth can force out Tapu Fini with their STAB moves, with the latter two even healing off most of the damage done by Nature's Madness with Regenerator. Pokemon with Grass-type coverage such as Mega Charizard Y and Z-Move Heatran can also beat Tapu Fini.
**Electric-types and Electric-type Coverage**: Electric-types like Tapu Koko and Magnezone can force out Tapu Fini, but they do not appreciate a Nature's Madness. Pokemon with Electric-type coverage such as Clefable and Mega Mawile can also overwhelm it.
**Constant Offensive Pressure**: Due to its lack of reliable recovery, Tapu Fini is prone to being overwhelmed by constant offensive pressure from the likes of Weavile, Heatran, and Hydreigon, particularly in conjunction with entry hazards.
**Knock Off**: As Tapu Fini relies on Leftovers as its sole form of recovery, Knock Off from Pokemon it can usually check such as Toxapex, Clefable, and Weavile is very crippling for it.
