So I have made three teams for each Applin final evolution. I’ll upload them each within a week apart to abide by the guidelines. Also I have a usual team set up of two physical attackers, two special attackers, and two support mons so I try to stay in those limits. I started with Flapple so enjoy.
Granny Smith (Flapple) @ Life Orb
Ability: Hustle
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Tera Blast
- U-turn
- Grav Apple
So the main star being Flapple is given the best moveset I can give it. It does need help from its team but we’ll get to that later. For its role I made it a set up sweeper with dragon dance and grav apple. U-turn to pivot and fire Tera blast for coverage.
Solar Power (Iron Moth) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fiery Dance
- Energy Ball
- Sludge Wave
- U-turn
For my main special attacker I chose Iron moth. Mostly for its typing and its synergy with Flapple and some other team members. It’s got a pretty standard set but it’s still very useful. Fiery dance can spiral out of control especially with choice specs and the potential Spa boosts. Energy ball and sludge wave can deal massive damage and u-turn is for pivoting to Flapple and Araquanid.
Big Scary (Araquanid) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Bubble
Tera Type: Rock
EVs: 212 HP / 88 Atk / 120 Def / 88 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Sticky Web
- Liquidation
- Leech Life
- Soak
Araquanid is my usual lead and it’s the one I put the most thought into its IVs. It’s my main support mon and it shows in its set. It’s really meant to just set up sticky web then die but every now and then it uses soak which helps Flapple, Iron Moth, and Kyreum. Honestly I could maybe use rocky helmet but I went with leftovers to help well with leftovers. Again it’s mostly picked for its good typing and great ability.
Joan of Arc (Corviknight) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Mirror Armor
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 124 HP / 72 Atk / 136 Def / 96 SpD / 80 Spe
- Defog
- Tailwind
- Brave Bird
- Body Press
Corviknight is my other set up mon. It’s really just here for tailwind but it can also use defog. Its IVs are all over the place but it’s meant to be spread out. Its Tera type of ground helps with its only two weaknesses and I prefer it over fighting.
Fan Fusion (Iron Valiant) @ Life Orb
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Drain Punch
- Spirit Break
- Knock Off
Iron Valiant is my other main physical attacker. I kinda have a theme of tryna make fast and frail mons last longer with healing moves. Drain punch can do some big damage after a swords dance and so does its other moves.
Freezer (Kyurem) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon
- Freeze-Dry
Kyreum is the last team member and my other special attacker. It’s mostly here to also be a counter to water types with its dragon typing and freeze dry. Tera steel for defensive and offensive purposes.
