ZU Vikavolt

Vikavolt @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Tera Type: Ghost
Modest Nature
- Sticky Web
- Volt Switch
- Bug Buzz
- Energy Ball / Thunderbolt

This electrifying Bug-type is sure to leave you behind once you're caught in its webs! Vikavolt is a tremendous threat in the ZU tier, using its monstrous base 145 Special Attack to blow through even the sturdiest of walls like Dipplin and Lanturn. Volt Switch allows Vikavolt to keep up momentum against foes like Porygon2 and Snorlax, creating powerful VoltTurn cores with teammates that can threaten them, like Floatzel and Passimian. Energy Ball is especially threatening to bulky foes like Lanturn and Regirock; Thunderbolt is an alternative that doesn't force Vikavolt to switch out against foes it pressures like Articuno and Braviary. Tera Ghost allows Vikavolt to act as its own spinblocker against foes like Hitmontop and Sandslash, enabling its teammates to potentially set up and sweep. Swords Dance sweepers like Qwilfish and Virizion make for great teammates, threatening massive damage against most of the tier. Other slower setup sweepers like Nasty Plot Mesprit and Rotom-C also benefit greatly from Sticky Web support, allowing them to outpace notable threats like Hisuian Sneasel to strike first. Choice Specs Typhlosion is an exceptional Sticky Web beneficiary, firing off massive Eruptions to rip through the metagame with ease.

This electrifying Bug-type is sure to leave you behind once you're caught in its webs! Vikavolt is a tremendous threat in the ZU tier, using its monstrous base 145 Special Attack to blow through even the sturdiest of walls (Mention a couple, like Dipplin and Lanturn. Since Vikavolt can't break Snorlax et al on its own, I'd refocus the hook on Vikavolt's ability to set up webs while being an offensive threat to all the Grass-types in the tier). Volt Switch allows Vikavolt to get the jump on keep up momentum foes like Porygon2, creating powerful VoltTurn cores with teammates like Floatzel and Passimian. Energy Ball is needed for Vikavolt especially threatening to consistently break through bulky foes like Lanturn and Regirock (Bug Buzz 3HKOes both of these foes, so it's more about the extra damage for a 2HKO); Thunderbolt is an alternative that doesn't force Vikavolt to dish switch out more damage against bulkier foes it can't hit super effectively, such as Glastrier pressures like Braviary and Snorlax Articuno (Bug Buzz already did the same amount as Thunderbolt to the foes you mentioned). Tera Ghost allows Vikavolt to act as its own spinblocker against foes like Hitmontop and Sandslash, maintaining enabling its Sticky Web to enable its teammates to potentially set up and sweep. Swords Dance sweepers like Qwilfish and Virizion make for great teammates, threatening massive damage against most of the tier. Other slower setup sweepers like Nasty Plot Mesprit and Rotom-C also benefit greatly from Sticky Web support, allowing them to outpace notable threats like Hisuian Qwilfish to strike first. Choice Specs Typhlosion is an exceptional Sticky Web beneficiary, firing off massive Eruption's to rip through the metagame with ease. (If you can, spotlight and squeeze in some Pokemon that take advantage of Pokemon that check Vikavolt, like Fighting-types pressuring Snorlax + P2)
