Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read through my post here and helping me with this team. This is really my first time truly attempting VGC, at least in any recent years (my last time playing the format was in Gen 4). Open to any and all conversation and critique around the team.
To start things off, we have Skeledirge. One of my personal favorites coming out of S/V and a Pokémon that I believe has some potential. Skeledirge's Ghost typing allows it to ignore Fake Out's from opposing Rillaboom, Incineroar and the like; while also having Fire typing to kick off a Fire-Water-Grass core. Will-o-Wisp acts as a means to cripple physical attackers, paired with good bulk investment on HP and SpD EV's and Slack-Off make it stand strong in the face of some strong hits and recover back up. Torch Song allows Skeledirge to also make use of it's staying power with the +1 SpA on each use.

Rillaboom @ Assault Vest
Ability: Grassy Surge
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Atk / 44 Def / 60 SpD / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Grassy Glide
- Wood Hammer
- High Horsepower
Rillaboom seems to be one of the staples in this generations meta, and in this regulation. He also adds the next step of the Fire-Water-Grass core. I'm not entirely sure/remember what this particular EV spread was used to min/max, but I'm also still getting used to the very specific EV spread's that are being used and understanding them. Assault Vest + standard attacks for damage and disruption. The Grassy Surge also helps keep the rest of the team alive and healed back up after chip damage, as well as dealing with Indeedee-F's that are popping up.

Tauros-Paldea-Aqua @ Clear Amulet
Ability: Intimidate
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Close Combat
- Raging Bull
- Trailblaze
The last of the Fire-Water-Grass trio is Tauros-Aqua. This pick comes mostly from me wanting to use something different than most of the other Water cores coming in, especially on rain teams; partnered with the Fighting typing to match up with some of the Steel types coming in, like Archaludon. Clear Amulet is used to counteract other Intimidate users. Tera Grass with Trailblaze to deal with other Water types that might end up walling it.

Kommo-o (M) @ Throat Spray
Ability: Overcoat
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Clangorous Soul
- Clanging Scales
- Boomburst
- Flamethrower
Kommo-o is in as this teams "hopeful" main carry. One of my favorites across the PokéDex, and a Pokémon I would just love to have succeed. Throat Spray to boost damage even more after Clangorous Soul. Overcoat allows it to ignore incoming Spore/Powders. Clanging Scales and Boomburst allow for dual hits, and Flamethrower is in to counter Steel and Grass types coming in to resist other damage.

Grimmsnarl @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 124 Def / 132 SpD
Careful Nature
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Thunder Wave
- Spirit Break
Grimmsnarl comes in as the first Support Pokemon of the roster. Dual Screens + T-Wave give decent bulk and okay speed control for Kommo-o and Tauros to survive longer. Spirit Break comes in top help with Dragon threats and the diverse SpA threats that seem to be in play right now. Tera Ghost allows Grimmsnarl to avoid Fake-Out's if needed.

Sinistcha @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Hospitality
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 188 Def / 68 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Matcha Gotcha
- Life Dew
- Trick Room
- Rage Powder
The last Pokemon coming in, and the one I've been changing around the most, is our second Support: Sinistcha. This slot has floated between support Murkrow, Clefable, and now Sinistcha while I try to figure out a good fit to supplement Kommo-o. I copied this set from one of the recent tournament wins and I'm a fan of a few things, namely Hospitality + Life Dew/Rage Powder. These 3 in combination seem to work incredibly well with Kommo-o and it's downside with Clangorous Scales HP cost, along with it's semi-fragileness. The goal being to set up screens with Grimmsnarl while Kommo-o goes for the boost, then swap into Sinistcha if possible to heal off the damage taken in the previous turn.
Thank you again for reading through this far. I'm really open to a lot of conversation and possible changes. I might be stubborn on some changes but will definitely be testing as much out as I can.
