With the reintroduction of Snow Warning into PU, this ice cream regains its niche as a delicious and unique wallbreaker. While it only runs Ice-type moves due to its lacking coverage, the combination of Blizzard's power and hail's chip damage wears down Steel-types, with Freeze-Dry hitting bulky Water-types like Wishiwashi. Toxic cripples switch-ins that aren't Steel-types like Gigalith, while Taunt shuts down status moves, allowing Vanilluxe to avoid most status and deny recovery from Pokemon like Audino. The given EV spread ensures it can outspeed Sandslash. Switch-ins to Fighting- and Fire-types such as Sawk and Charizard like Qwilfish and Wishiwashi are heavily appreciated; in return, Qwilish can lay Spikes to wear down Steel-types like Aggron, and Wishiwashi can bring Vanilluxe in safely with a slow U-turn. Offensive partners like Ribombee and Togedemaru enjoy their shared switch-ins being worn down, with Togedemaru bringing in Vanilluxe with U-turn on Ground-types. Opposing Togedemaru are Vanilluxe's biggest issue, with a resistance to Ice, a Toxic immunity, and recovery, so Pokemon like Gallade are crucial to removing it.
