OFFICIAL UUFPL V POWER RANKINGS
Presented by Burger King - Have it Your Way
First off, I'd like to thank all of the teams and players that submitted their rankings to allow these power rankings to happen. I'd also like to thank our writers who flew in from Sweden to brainstorm in the lab to get these out so quickly. So without further delay, here are the official power rankings!
#1
District 8
Coming in at #1 in the rankings is District 8 - Silicobra Kai! Long time UUFPL player and manager Slip is at the helm, this time as a non-playing manager, while they look to bring a combination of veteran UU players, veteran non-UU players, and eager UU hopefuls together for a push at the gold. Tuthur/Kaboom/Career Ended is as solid an SV core as you can get in UUFPL, with only the Diancies coming anywhere close to matching that. Celeste is a proven and active Ubers UU player, while Fc is accustomed to performing well in RBY UU in many of these UU subforum team tours that can also offer Celeste advice and support. Totomon has also resurrected from the dead just for this, which I am sure we are all excited to see. LBN has always performed mediocrely average in ADV in these tours but has plenty of experience in tackling the ADV changes metagames in prior editions. Jam is solid. Ainzcrad is solid. Tbolt is solid. Ojr is solid. Jackuzzler certainly believes he is solid (he might be but I haven't seen enough of him yet). The bench isn't outstanding but it does the job as much as you could ask for from a UUFPL squad - Rabia and TakingNotes are good enough to sub into a variety of tiers between the two, while TTK and Zcarlett will be reliably active at the very least. This team doesn't really have any cracks. They might lose ofc but I expect them to consistently perform week after week and finish atop the standings somewhere.

District 7
As mentioned above, the only team to really rival the Silicobra's SV core is District 7 - Diancie is Unbreakable. Scalescale and yiyueweiming have the potential to be a devastating duo, and will have plenty of support from starbitstorm who is in probably the best possible tier for him involving a rotation of SV mons week after week. Medeia is also a very good Ubers UU player, although the Ubers UU pool is extremely stacked so it won't be easy. DAWNBUSTER has also reappeared for this tour, and though the 37.5k pricetag may seem extreme, nobody in the pool really comes close to what they can do, especially now that nobody has to worry about Baton Pass. Shellnuts is definitely an OG RBY UU star, but the new RBY UU generation has come to life for this tour and it will be a bit of an experiment. The rest of the team is kind of a mystery though it's not bad - Rasche is great but we haven't seen them play much SM UU at all. Django is a great NU player in various gens, and is decent at SV UU too, but I'm not sure what they've got going on in DPP UU. Caesarr had an ok UUWC in SS UU, and he does play the tier, but most of the pool is going to have considerable more experience. Finding games in BW UU for Dusk and ORAS UU for Hiro numbers seems to be a bit mysterious, but it's better than being flat bad I suppose. Oathkeeper in an ADV UU tier with Kadabra and Smeargle and no visible support seems like a Hail Mary though. At least they have a solid bench though - 12.5k Royal on the bench is great, Zelph can sub into several tiers, and Dead by Daylight is eager and active. This team will be ok, but it's far from perfect.

District 10
Gilderoy Lokix is a squad that is competent all around - but does not particularly stand out anywhere. Their entire lineup is definitely good - however wuqianying and fyfk are a bit of a downgrade from Scalescale + yiyueweiming, and naviii I am pretty sure hasn't played in a UU tour in about 4 years. That being said, they can just as easily beat anyone, and their other slots are no slouch. Imperial won best Ubers UU player in the last UUFPL, while Hydronics was the winner of the recent ADV UU Classic Cup. Stunner is a UUFPL veteran in RBY UU, and leoperi is a GSC lower tier promising up and comer, while Drud and violet river are familiar and steady faces in DPP and BW. Dunoks can play ORAS UU just fine in this pool, while Clem is supposed to be a good SM player though I cannot recall their last SM UU escapade. Tempo di anguria is a bit more mysterious and while they can certainly perform in this SS pool, it's hard to say if they will succeed with little data to go off on. They also have a decent bench with SpaceSpeakers easily capable of starting in SV on other teams, while chungle-wungus / his chunglington can sub into a random lower tier in an emergency (or go into adv if Hydronics has to move somewhere else). And then they have Kapperajah on the bench (idk anything about them).

District 1
The Battlegirls were the first champions of UUFPL back in the 17th century (B.C.) on Saturn, but now Lolo and Jawa have put together an incredibly average looking bunch that might be ok I suppose. Unfortunately this is the part of the power rankings where things start to get a bit offensive. Let's start with the SV - we got Tree69420 anchoring it. That's gonna be interesting. Luckily McLovin is handling the districts, where his creativity will be put to good use. RTM is a flier pick for sure that they're hoping for the best - can happen, might not, we'll see. Lolo handling SS is expected, but in a weird SS pool that is top heavy and bottom friendly, he's just kind of in the middle somewhere. Maris is always going to be one of the best options in RBY UU, but given how susceptible she is to Drowzee teams the Hypno being freed might prove bothersome. Baddy might be an excellent pick in BW UU - he has all the tools to succeed but it's a bit of a debut here so it's a wild card for sure. IcyPenguin is very eager to prove themselves in SM, but that means they are currently unproven and, again, it's hard to predict how that will turn out. That seems to be a theme here on this team - there's a lot of slots that we just don't know how they are going to turn out. A lot of upside and downside. Gulch in ADV would normally seem a bit sus but the pool is nothing to write home about so he may be able to scrummage up a halfway decent recod. Dorron sure knows Ubers UU, but that pool is so stacked that it may be a struggle to even break even here. Iamlowtier is playing a low tier, but we've never really seen them there. And seth sure is seth. Does he play ORAS UU? Who knows, but we'll find out very soon. We're not going to talk about the bench though.

District 5
The Flamigos are always a fun bunch tbh, but fun doesn't always win and it's gonna take some proving of wrongs for them to succeed here. First off, their managers don't exactly have the UU acumen of the other teams, so the support is going to primarily come from the players themselves. And, well, besides Estarossa, I'm not sure there's anyone there that comfortably supports the slots. Like any of them really. Hex, sufys, and Monai are great players that can perform well in SV - but they don't really have support and I'm not sure they are builders much in the tier. They can probably pull from their own resources to get teams though luckily - but that's just SV. Seraphz is going to need SS teams, Ampha is going to need SM teams, and unless Estarossa is working at Liam paces this year I don't see there being a lot of quality control checking of teams before these games get played. Feen probably has a bunch of ORAS teams he could use, but again, I don't know if there's anyone to tell him if a team is horrid or not. Hubriz I'm not sure has any DPP UU teams at all, nor does ExguardiaN have GSC UU teams (unless, again Estarossa supports both of these well). Skyiew did great in recent Ubers UU showings, but do they build in the tier, especially the new one without Zacian? Estarossa certainly can't support that tier. These are all great players though, which is why the Flamigos are not lower in the standings - even though the support is relatively nonexistent, they are all capable of winning their games. Luckily though, AHD and Cake are going to be just fine in ADV and RBY, probably near the top of their pools respectively, and are highly self sufficient. Peum on the bench can help support SV a bit, but Peum support is sometimes good, sometimes not so good, so they're gonna need some checks and balances to make sure they are pushing out good teams. I'm pretty sure estra and Seed Sower are just here for the ride.

District 9
Black Ops Spidops is the team nobody asked for, but everybody wished for. It all started on a foggy evening in the eastern Alps. A young adventurer named Petros proudly put the name of the future squad on a tablet so that it could be hung from Mt. Kukumalookoo. The team was to be called "Major Pain Pangoros"! But that was going to happen over Lizzie's dead body. Lizzie, a renownede archer from the port of Westmoreland, shot the tablet with an radioactive arrow of might and steel. The tablet shattered. Now, neither of them would make the draft at the foothills of Stonehenge that coming Saturday. And that's when spiders started appearing all around them! They weren't just any spiders, they were black spiders, but to they were all married to other spiders so they weren't black widows. Petros and Lizzie ran as fast as they could, boarding a ship for the mysterious trade lands of India. There, Petros would start the Silk Road. Meanwhile, at Stonehenge, there was a 1980's American Rock Concert playing, with the band Lynard Skynard performing the opening act. Everyone at the concert was Killing Time waiting for the draft to Accelerate. That's when a young man named Eyan and his wild pak of bouffalos took charge - the free team of District 9 was to be usurped. Black Ops Spidops would now be drafted by a coalition of stars.
The first spider sprung up from the dirt - it was a 25,500 gold piece Spider, brought to the draft by the FritoLay food company. This would ensure that the Spidops were anchored in for a tier nobody really had the time to deal with or care about. Other than that the draft doesn't really make any sense - some of their best players in Goldcat and jay were 4500 and 3500, while they paid 17,000 for a BeeOrSomething locked out of GSC (maybe can help out Lyra I guess?) and 15,000 for a basically perma benched dingbat. But, it kinda worked out a little bit? Udongirl will be solid in SS and even SV if needed, while Melbelle will be consistently good in RBY so long as she consistently stays on the team. Olivia has to be careful when playing as everyone has caught on to her Bellibolt shtick by now, and it's a mystery if she can win without the frog. The rest of their team are just kind of high activity UU community members/hopefuls that have yet to really prove themselves in any major way. But I suppose this is the right tournament to try to make that happen. Buena suerte amigos.

District 3
I think the Flapples could be good. It's definitely not a lost cause for them, but they are so top heavy with almost every slot a mystery. Ewin is capable of farrming the Ubers UU pool, and the same can be said for Hacker in SM to a lesser degree. But even if they both win all t heir games, there's a lot of work to be done in the other slots. The SV core of Mada/Enzo/AlyssaVGC looks "good" from a Smogon player standpoint but the combined experience in SV UU for all of those, especially the recent meta, has got to be pretty slim. Sure they can win - they're all great players, and QoB is able to support. But, as stated earlier, it's a mystery and hard to tell how consistent they can be. Roxie in BW is as solid as you can ask for in a UUFPL BW starter, but the BW pool is actually a bit steep this year so they're not exactly going to be farming. Then we've got Fragments in SS, Insou in ORAS, AM in DPP. I mean sure ok but I don't really know the last time any of them played these tiers in a team tour setting, or if they have even played them at all in any recent memory. Apple is in ADV - definitely hasn't touched that tier much, and now has to build for Kadabra and Smeargle. Good luck to QoB supporting that one. Magialice is aight I suppose but the RBY pool is extremely stacked with players who are much more proven - doesn't mean they can't win, but it's going to be hard. Evaki-something ends their name with a punctuation mark which is atrocious. Kimer is a nice active bench slot that can slide into SV if needed though, and Leni is solid enough to definitely be starting somewhere that they will probably make their way into the lineup by Week 2. Fathiryxi and Tidal are always great chat presences though, so the vibe is definitely going to be on point at least. And, maybe that's what matters more here. If so, they did it. But idk if this is gonna be winning.

District 2
This team is bad, but in a sort of impressive way in the sense that it must have taken great skill to actually assemble such a poorly put together squad. Drew started the draft saying nobody is worth 35k and nobody should ever pay that for anyone. He then immediately spent close to 70k on two players in vivalospride and Heysup. However, the worst thing he could have done, in his opinion, was to let people know he was broke, so he dropped another 18.5k on Colin, a decent SV player for sure, and then stuck him in SM for some reason. After that there was no money left and Drew got on his plane and let Taka draft with the change. What we ended up with was Goro Yagami and BlackKnight_Gawain - two UU players for sure. The rest of the players are not UU players really, though Finchely is fine in Ubers UU. I suppose sealoo and Jojen did play last year, but I would be shocked if they played any UU games in between now and then. And if they did play one or two games, that's probably more than Betathunder, Theycallmephil, Scarlet Firefly, and Nashrock have combined to play in any actual tours. Mik3ymon is a ladder player that may be of some service in SV at least. And Gallinova has played some other GSC lower tiers, but boy is that going to be a big ask here. Overall, can they still win despite all these flaws? No probably not but I hope they have a good time.
