Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Dark / Rock
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
Tyranitar terrorizes UU! Armed with a Choice Band, Tyranitar is a potent physical wallbreaker in UU, with its STAB combination of Stone Edge and Knock Off being able to 2HKO even UU's bulkiest physical walls such as Rotom-W, Toxapex, and potentially even Skamory. Earthquake is invaluable coverage, as it allows Tyranitar to 2HKO Cobalion and OHKO Heatran and Tinkaton, with the latter being OHKOed after Stealth Rock. Ice Punch allows Tyranitar to OHKO Hydrapple, which would otherwise pose major problems for Tyranitar. Choice Band Tyranitar best fits on balance and bulky offense teams as a powerful physical attacker that can leave holes in opposing teams. Excadrill is a great partner for Tyranitar, as it can take advantage of the sand that Tyranitar summons to be able to potentially sweep while also providing Rapid Spin support, which is vital for Tyranitar's ability to wallbreak over a game. Sturdy pivots such as Slowking, Tornadus-T, and Rotom-W can bring Tyranitar in safely. Sinistcha can be an option that can deal with Fighting-types such as Conkeldurr, Keldeo, and Quaquaval.
