Tornadus-Therian @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 208 HP / 108 SpD / 192 Spe
Tera Type: Steel / Electric
Timid Nature
- Bleakwind Storm / Hurricane
- Heat Wave
- Knock Off
- U-turn
Tornadus-T has been a top tier Pokemon since it first dropped to UU this generation. This set combines powerful speed control, outspeeding various fast threats such as Latios and Ogerpon-C, with strong defensive utility through Regenerator and its ability to switch into Pokemon such as Latios, Hydrapple, and Greninja. In addition , Tornadus-T remains a dangerous threat thanks to its reasonably strong attacks and coverage while maintaining momentum against and crippling checks such as Slowking through U-turn and Knock Off, respectively. Tera Steel lets Tornadus-T better check Pokemon like Hydrapple and Latios and remove its weakness to Stealth Rock, while Tera Electric is an option to let it avoid paralysis from Pokemon such as Thunder Wave Slowking and Static Zapdos, letting it more freely use Knock Off or U-turn against the latter. Both of these options also let it resist Bullet Punch from Scizor if needed. Slowking can check Pokemon such as Tinkaton, opposing Tornadus-T, and Zapdos and absorb Knock Off from the former two. Wallbreakers such as Tyranitar, Ogerpon-C, Greninja, and Hoopa-U appreciate Tornadus-T's U-turn support to bring them in against Pokemon such as Zapdos and Slowking.
