Iron Treads can perform as a decent utility Pokemon thanks to its wide movepool. It faces stronger competition from its counterpart, Great Tusk, due to the latter's typing, better physical bulk, better Attack, and a wider movepool. However, Iron Treads stands out due to its faster Speed and its access to Volt Switch, which allows it to serve as a fast offensive pivot. With Stealth Rock, Iron Treads can wear down Pokemon that dislike entry hazards like Dragapult, Roaring Moon, and Booster Energy Iron Moth, limiting their opportunities to switch in. Rapid Spin allows Iron Treads to remove hazards from its side while also boosting its Speed, allowing it to threaten Pokemon that would normally outspeed it like Cinderace. Volt Switch not only allows Iron Treads to perform as a pivot but also deals super effective damage to Flying-types like Corviknight and Tera Flying Kingambit. Alternatively, Knock Off can be used to remove important items such as Leftovers from defensive Pokemon like Toxapex, Corviknight, and Garganacl as well as Heavy-Duty Boots from Pokemon vulnerable to hazards such as Dragonite and Skeledirge. Knock Off also allows Iron Treads to deal super effective damage to Air Balloon Gholdengo. Tera Flying completely removes Iron Treads's weakness to Ground-types and turns it into an immunity, allowing it to switch into Great Tusk. Leftovers grants Iron Treads a form of longevity so it can find more opportunities to pivot into teammates. Heavy-Duty Boots can be used as well to help Iron Treads pivot more consistently into teammates while not getting worn down from hazards.

Iron Treads fits best on offensive teams that appreciate its offensive utility in order for their team members to function in their roles more effectively. Wallbreakers such as Iron Valiant and Iron Moth pair well with Iron Treads, since they appreciate being brought in by Volt Switch. In return, they can take on defensive Pokemon Iron Treads struggles with, such as Ting-Lu for the former and Amoonguss for the latter. Garchomp, Meowscarada, and Greninja make for great partners, since the three of them can stack Spikes with Iron Treads to wear down incoming foes into KO range from one of the team's offensive Pokemon. If Iron Treads is running Volt Switch, it could have a hard time pivoting into its teammates, since Ground-types like Great Tusk and Garchomp can switch into it if its predicted. Hence, teammates that can handle Ground-types like Rotom-W pair well with Iron Treads. Lastly, sweepers such as Baxcalibur, Walking Wake, Dragonite, and Azumarill appreciate Iron Treads bringing them to sweep. Baxcalibur, Walking Wake, and Azumarill in particular can help in removing Ground-types that can interrupt Iron Treads's pivoting ability.

Iron Treads can perform as a decent offensive pivot and utility Pokemon thanks to its wide movepool. It faces stronger competition from its counterpart, Great Tusk, due to the latter's typing, better physical bulk, better physical offense, and a wider movepool. However, Iron Treads's niche over Great Tusk stems from its faster Speed and its access to Volt Switch. With Stealth Rock, Iron Treads can wear down Pokemon that dislike hazards like Dragapult, Roaring Moon, and Booster Energy Iron Moth, limiting their opportunities to switch in. Rapid Spin allows Iron Treads to remove hazards from its side while also boosting its Speed, allowing it to threaten Pokemon that would normally outspeed it. Volt Switch can be to not only allow Iron Treads to perform as a pivot, but also deal super effective damage against Flying-types that can switch into Earthquake like Corviknight and Tera Flying Kingambit. Alternatively, Knock Off can be used to remove important items from both offensive and defensive Pokemon. It can remove Leftovers from defensive Pokemon like Toxapex, Corviknight, and Garganacl as well as Heavy-Duty Boots from Pokemon vulnerable to hazards such as Dragonite and Skeledirge. Knock Off also allows Iron Treads to still deal super effective damage to Air Balloon Gholdengo. Tera Flying completely removes Iron Treads's weakness to Ground-types and turning it to an immunity, allowing it to switch into Great Tusk. Leftovers grants Iron Treads a form of longevity so it can find more opportunities to pivot into teammates, although Heavy-Duty Boots can be used if Iron Treads is going to Terastalize in order to remove its susceptibility to hazards, but even if it's not going to Terastalize, Heavy-Duty Boots can help Iron Treads pivot more consistently into teammates while not getting worn down.

Iron Treads fits best on offensive teams that appreciate its offensive utility in order for their team members to function in their roles more effectively. Garganacl, Ting-Lu, and Toxapex make for great partners, since the three of them can stack hazards with Iron Treads to wear down incoming foes into KO range from one of the team's offensive Pokemon. The first sentence of this paragraph is "Iron treads fits best on offensive teams," so its a bit awkward to them immediately mention Garg/Ting/Toxapex as the great partners... none of which really fit on offensive teams. Treads' qualities lend itself to supporting fast and loose teams that appreciate its better speed and pivoting ability; as you mention in the previous paragraph, this is what makes it stand out over Great Tusk, and that should be the main focus of this section. If Iron Treads is running Volt Switch, it could have a hard time pivoting into its teammates since Ground-types like Great Tusk and Garchomp can switch into it if its predicted. Hence, teammates that can handle Ground-types like Tera Flying Roaring Moon and Rotom-W pair well with Iron Treads. Iron Treads also dislikes hazards if it Terastalizes into the Flying-type and if it isn't running Heavy-Duty Boots, so teammates that can remove hazards like Corviknight pair well. This feels like far too specific a situation to warrant taking up a team member slot for it.... it is true, yes, but Treads naturally has a quad resistance to SR and isn't necessarily that susceptible knock off. Using it as the Tera is also fairly rare and better saved for its teammates. For a Pokemon whose main goal is removing hazards, I just don't think recommending a different hazard remover is necessary. In return, Iron Treads can check Gholdengo for it, which Corviknight tends to struggle with. Lastly, offensive teammates such as Iron Valiant and Iron Moth pair well with Iron Treads, since they appreciate Iron Treads bringing them in thanks to Volt Switch. In return, they can take on defensive Pokemon Iron Treads struggles with, such as Ting-Lu for the former and Amoonguss for the latter. This should be moved to be the first focus of this section, not the last. Further, I think mention of other offensive Pokemon like Dragonite, Azumarill and Baxcalibur are worth mentioning in this.

(i think you should reword that and talk about how boots lets you constantly pivot before you mention tera because you're making this sound like "only run boots if you're gonn tera" which you can't predict in the builder + you'd usually have teammates that can make use of tera better)

(tera flying moon seems like a fine teammate but youre not really gonna be running it as a ground check - you can switch it into grounds before you tera and when you've broguht it in once you'd wanna set up and win) Lastly, sweepers such as Baxcalibur, Dragonite, and Azumarill appreciate Iron Treads bringing them to sweep.
