SS OU Urshifu Rapid Strike and Kyurem Balanced

Hello guys! I want to share one of my favorites teams created by me, i started creating this team because i saw rapid strike urshifu on a spotlight and looks very fun to use. This is my team.

:Urshifu-Rapid-Strike:

Urshifu rapid strike is my revenge killer with aqua jet, wallbreaker with surging strikes and close combat, is probably a safeguard volcarona check, with u-turn he can pivot into kyurem against his checks and help kyurem for set up, Surging strikes can end threats of this team like iron defense magnezone is chipped, is a really fun pokemon for use.

:Kyurem:

Then i look for Checks of Urshifu Rapid Strike and then found that one single of them lose agaisnt kyurem metronome (Clefable, Amoonguss, Toxapex, tangrowth) but why kyurem metronome? Kyurem metronome can set up in front of everyone in the list except clefable, and can take advantage of this set up for attack and increase the power of his hits with the metronome.

:Corviknight:

Corviknight is the defogger of my team, and is my check for multiple threats like alakazam, gengar, excadrill, sub toxic aegislash and kyurem , i choose brave bird and body press set for hit excadrill, band rillaboom, alakazam and gengar, the spd set fits perfect on my team, because it can support Clef and tangrowth, obviosly with support of blissey.

:Blissey:

Blissey is here for the special atackers that corviknight cant check like rotom heat, volcarona and magnezone, making a decent spd core with him, can give momentum to urshifu rapid strike and kyurem for end the opposing team, toxic for cripple the big number of special atackers and seismic toss for make direct damage.

:Clefable:

Clefable is My urshifu and dragapult check, rocker and knock off user for annoying rocky helmets, moonblast is his standard attack for hit neutral or super effective the pokemon that clefable can check, i want to know if you guys think that sticky barb is better than knock off on this clef, for punish opposing Amoonguss that switch in into it.

:Tangrowth:
Tangrowth is my final pokemon, check for sd rillaboom, zeraora and the pokemon that can bring safe clef vs opposing poison jab of banded urshifu, another knock off user that support urshifu rapid strike and can sleep opposing pokemon, i choose sludge bomb for hit swords dance life orb rillaboom, giga drain can beat zeraora and is a nice stab attack.

Threats:

:Magnezone:

The specs set could be annoying, but with the help of blissey we can check it, the magnezone that my team fear is the iron defense set, because if it set up we cant destroy it if we lose urshifu rapid strike.

:Corviknight: :Toxapex:

Well corviknight without body press isn't a problem, but if corviknight has body press my offensive core can't do anything against them.

:Rillaboom:

I have two checks of rillaboom, but why i put this pokemon like a threat? Well the grassy seed rillaboom can destroy tangrowth if we lost corviknight and kyurem is gg for the team.

:Volcarona:

There's a substitute volcarona on the ladder, that can set up in front of blissey and can take an aqua jet of urshifu, this is probably the pokemon that can beat my entire team, atleast is not a famous set.

Hey, I think Urshifu-Rapid-Strike is a pretty unique choice for this team as it covers a good amount of the holes the defensive core can't handle. Some threats that can be identified off the rip are Calm Mind Clefable, Toxtricity, Bulk Up Corviknight, and Ferrothorn. I made some tweaks that I believe will benefit the team a lot so without further ado, let's get started.

:Tangrowth: --> :Amoonguss:
Amoonguss @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 160 Def / 100 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Clear Smog
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Stomping Tantrum
The first change I made was switching Tangrowth for Assault Vest Amoonguss. AV Amoonguss helps the team a lot with Calm Mind Clefable and Shift Gear Toxtricity, as well as checking Choice Specs Magnezone extremely well alongside Shed Shell Corviknight. This set lives +2 Life Orb Knock Off from Rillaboom after stealth rock and the rest is dumped into spdef.

:Corviknight:
Corviknight @ Shed Shell
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 28 Def / 228 SpD
Careful Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- U-turn
- Brave Bird
U-turn over Body Press on Corviknight is better here in my opinion as it allows you to get in Kyurem and Urshifu safely. On top of that, one of the biggest targets Body Press Corviknight hits is Excadrill, which can be effectively checked by clicking U-Turn as Corviknight and switching into Urshifu to Surging Strike/Aqua Jet. U-Turn also helps greatly in checking Alakazam (which is also an annoying mon for this team) in the same fashion as Excadrill, U-turn --> Urshifu --> Aqua Jet.

:Kyurem:
Kyurem @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 56 HP / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Substitute
- Icicle Spear
- Roost
- Freeze-Dry
The next change I made was putting Heavy-Duty-Boots over Metronome on Kyurem. In my experiences, Corviknight has very little opportunity to defog vs hyper offensive teams. This can lead to Kyurem being heavily pressured by hazards and eventually just being foddered off which I find to be extremely annoying because sub Kyurem is pretty good vs offense. That being said, Kyurem will struggle to break fatter teams with this change. I suggest trying both Metronome and HDB and seeing which one you like more.

:Blissey:
Blissey @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Seismic Toss
- Soft-Boiled
- Teleport
- Thunder Wave
Thunder Wave Blissey solidifies the Calm Mind Clefable matchup as CM + Flamethrower Clefable can beat AV Amoonguss in the long run. With Clefable paralyzed, Amoonguss can outspeed and Clear Smog. On top of that, Thunder Wave is just a good move in general as a couple of key paralyzes can snag a game. Keeping Teleport is useful in the case of Safeguard Volcarona to get Urshifu in safely to check Volc.

:Clefable:
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Stealth Rock
- Soft-Boiled
- Moonblast
At this point, the team was still pretty weak to Ferrothorn and Bulk Up Corviknight so I put flamethrower on Clef to help with that matchup.

Corviknight @ Shed Shell
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 28 Def / 228 SpD
Careful Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- U-turn
- Brave Bird

Kyurem @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 56 HP / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Substitute
- Icicle Spear
- Roost
- Freeze-Dry

Urshifu-Rapid-Strike @ Choice Band
Ability: Unseen Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Surging Strikes
- Close Combat
- Aqua Jet
- U-turn

Blissey @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Def / 12 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Seismic Toss
- Soft-Boiled
- Teleport
- Thunder Wave

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Stealth Rock
- Soft-Boiled
- Moonblast

Amoonguss @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 160 Def / 100 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Clear Smog
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Stomping Tantrum

That's all I've got, hope this helped!
