Moves
=========

Wish provides Clefable with reliable recovery and the ability to heal teammates, making it an essential component of many balance and stall builds. Protect pairs with Wish to guarantee Clefable's healing, provides it with extra Leftovers recovery, and lets it scout for Choice-locked moves or status attempts. Calm Mind makes it increasingly difficult for special attackers to break past Clefable. Moonblast offers a reliable Fairy-type STAB move with good neutral coverage to hit important targets such as Manaphy, Serperior, and Thundurus. Heal Bell can also be used over Calm Mind to provide cleric support for Clefable's teammates. Finally, Moonlight can be used over Protect, but it is much less reliable due to low PP and being affected by weather.

Set Details
=========

Maximum HP maximizes Clefable's Wish for its teammates. A Bold nature is ideal with Calm Mind, as it allows Clefable to deal with physically offensive threats such as Garchomp, Dragonite, and Mega Heracross. 200 Defense EVs minimize the chances of Clefable getting 2HKOed by Mega Heracross and Mega Medicham. 56 Special Defense EVs allow it to survive two rain-boosted Scalds from Modest Manaphy after burn and Stealth Rock damage; this investment also gives Clefable a better time versus other specially offensive threats such as Serperior and Volcarona. Alternatively, a Calm nature can be used over Bold to better handle Rain Dance Manaphy and Serperior immediately and without the use of Calm Mind; this is especially important if Heal Bell is used instead. 56 EVs in Special Defense with a Calm nature minimize the chances of Manaphy's rain-boosted Surf 2HKOing Clefable. Leftovers allows Clefable to stay healthy throughout the match, especially when Wish isn’t enough between turns.

Usage Tips
=========

Clefable should be played patiently, capitalizing on its ability to shut down setup sweepers and wear down passive teams. Use Wish + Protect to keep Clefable healthy and sustain teammates over long games. Do not attempt to use this set to force holes in the enemy team, as Clefable is often crucial in not letting setup sweepers take over the game. Avoid Toxic and status moves early unless Clefable has cleric support, as poison and burn drastically reduce its longevity. Try to avoid Knock Off users like Bisharp and Weavile, as losing Leftovers greatly hinders Clefable’s ability to outlast threats in the long term. Be aware of Mold Breaker Pokemon that can bypass Clefable's Unaware ability such as Swords Dance Excadrill and Dragon Dance Mega Gyarados.

Team Options
=========

Clefable fits well on balance and stall teams that can support its defensive role. Physical walls like Skarmory, Slowbro, and Zapdos are excellent partners, handling powerful physical attackers that threaten Clefable such as Mega Metagross, Excadrill, and Mega Scizor. Specially defensive Pokemon such as Chansey complement Clefable well by taking on special threats such as Mega Alakazam and Mega Charizard Y while also offering cleric or entry hazard support. Hazard control is critical to prevent Clefable from being worn down, making Defog or Rapid Spin users like Zapdos, Skarmory, or Excadrill highly valuable. Lastly, slow paced teammates such as Slowbro and Skarmory that struggle against special setup sweepers benefit greatly from Unaware Clefable.

Protect pairs with Wish to guarantee the healing, and also to provide extra Leftovers recovery and scout for choice-locked moves or status attempts. Calm Mind allows Clefable to boost its Special Defense and Special Attack, making it increasingly difficult for special attackers to break past it. Moonblast is Clefable's only the chosen attacking move, offering reliable Fairy-type STAB with good neutral coverage to hit important targets such as Manaphy, Serperior, and Dragonite.

Set Details
=========

The given EV spread gives Clefable great physical bulk with a Bold nature, allowing Clefable to better handle common physical attackers like Dragonite, Garchomp, and Gliscor. It also maximizes Clefable's Wish for its teammates. Calm can be used over Bold to better handle Manaphy and Serperior immediately and without the use of Calm Mind, this is especailly especially important if Heal Bell is used instead. The Unaware ability is the cornerstone of this set, letting Clefable ignore opposing setup boosts, including Dragon Dance, Swords Dance, and Calm Mind from threats like Manaphy, Dragonite, and Clefable mirrors. Leftovers grants crucial passive recovery each turn, allowing Clefable to stay healthy throughout the match, especially when Wish isn’t enough between turns. Finally, Moonlight can be used over Protect but it is much less reliable due to low PP and being affected by weather.

Usage Tips
=========

Clefable should be played patiently, capitalizing on its ability to shut down setup sweepers and wear down passive teams. Use Wish + Protect to keep Clefable healthy and sustain teammates over long games. Do not attempt to use this set as the regular Clefable to force holes in the enemy team, as this set is often crucial in not letting set up sweepers take over the game. Avoid Toxic and status moves early unless you have cleric support, as poison and burn drastically reduce Clefable's longevity. Try to avoid Knock Off users like Bisharp and Weavile, as losing Leftovers greatly hinders Clefable’s ability to outlast threats in the long term. Clefable fits perfectly on balance and stall teams that can support its defensive role. Physical walls like Skarmory, Slowbro, or Zapdos are excellent partners, handling powerful physical attackers that threaten Clefable. Specially defensive Pokémon such as Chansey complement Clefable well by taking on special threats and offering cleric or hazard support. Steel-types like Heatran and Ferrothorn make good partners, resisting Steel- and Poison-type moves that Clefable is weak to. Hazard control is critical to prevent Clefable from being worn down, making Defog or Rapid Spin users like Zapdos, Skarmory, or Excadrilln highly valuable. Lastly, teammates that struggle against special set up sweepers, such as Serperior or Manaphy, benefit greatly from Unaware Clefable.

=========

Clefable fits well on balance and stall teams that can support its defensive role. Physical walls like Skarmory, Slowbro, and Zapdos are excellent partners, handling powerful physical attackers that threaten Clefable such as Mega Metagross, Excadrill, (AC) and Mega Scizor. Specially defensive Pokemon such as Chansey complement Clefable well by taking on special threats such as Mega Alakazam and Mega Charizard Y (RC) while also offering cleric or entry hazard support. Hazard control is critical to prevent Clefable from being worn down, making Defog or Rapid Spin users like Zapdos, Skarmory, or Excadrill highly valuable. Lastly, slow paced teammates such as Slowbro and Skarmory that struggle against special setup sweepers (RC) benefit greatly from Unaware Clefable.

Moves

Wish provides Clefable with reliable recovery and the ability to heal teammates, making it an essential component of many balance and stall builds. Protect pairs with Wish to guarantee Clefable's healing, provides it with extra Leftovers recovery, and lets it scout for Choice-locked moves or status attempts. Calm Mind makes it increasingly difficult for special attackers to break past Clefable. Moonblast offers a reliable Fairy-type STAB move with good neutral coverage to hit important targets such as Manaphy, Serperior, and Thundurus. Heal Bell over Calm Mind can also be used over Calm Mind to provide clerical cleric support for Clefable's teammates. Finally, Moonlight can be used over Protect, but it is much less reliable due to low PP and being affected by weather.

Set Details
=========

Max Maximum HP maximizes Clefable's Wish for its teammates. A Bold nature is ideal with Calm Mind, as it allows Clefable to deal with physically offensive threats such as Garchomp, Dragonite, and Mega Heracross. 200 Defense EVs minimize the chances of Clefable getting 2HKO'd 2HKOed by Mega Heracross and Mega Medicham. The rest is put into Special Defense give Clefable a better time versus specially offensive threats such as Serperior, Manaphy, and Volcarona. It is just enough to live 2 Scalds from Modest Manaphy after Burn and Stealth Rock 56 Special Defense EVs allow it to survive two rain-boosted Scalds from Modest Manaphy after burn and Stealth Rock damage; this investment also gives Clefable a better time versus other specially offensive threats such as Serperior and Volcarona. reordered this so the benchmark for the EVs comes before the more general use Alternatively, a Calm nature can be used over Bold to better handle Rain Dance Manaphy and Serperior immediately and without the use of Calm Mind; this is especially important if Heal Bell is used instead. A Calm nature with 56 EVs in Special Defense with a Calm nature minimize the chances of Manaphy's rain-boosted Surf 2HKOing (RP) The rest is thrown into Defense for better handling of physical threats such as Garchomp and Dragonite Clefable. already mentioned with bold. Numbers aren't different so you don't have to explain tiwce; you only would if there were etirely diff EV spreads per nature Leftovers grants crucial passive recovery each turn, allowing allows Clefable to stay healthy throughout the match, especially when Wish isn’t enough between turns.
