Thanks to its nearly unresisted STAB combination, Yveltal stands out as one of the high-flyers in National Dex Ubers! Life Orb allows Yveltal to act as an incredibly powerful wallbreaker, fitting on a wide variety of team structures. Oblivion Wing grants Yveltal a source of recovery, as well as dealing a large chunk of damage to Dark-resistant Pokemon, such as Arceus-Dark and opposing Yveltal on the switch in. Taunt provides incredible support, not only shutting down defensive Pokemon such as Zygarde and Giratina-O, but also stopping offensive Pokemon such as Necrozma-DM and Primal Groudon from setting up. Sucker Punch can be used to revenge kill faster foes such as Marshadow and Deoxys-A, while Knock Off provides more value against defensive Pokemon, notably removing Heavy-Duty Boots from Ho-Oh and Leftovers from Zygarde. Teammates that can set Sticky Web are great for Yveltal, as Yveltal's solid Speed stat allows it to outspeed foes such as Eternatus and Marshadow after the drop in Speed. Yveltal also has the benefit of not having to worry about Defog thanks to Taunt.
