If you are looking for the new king of ubers look elsewhere. This is a utility pokemon

First impression
Aqua jet
Sucker punch
Leech life/protect/sword dance
Nature: adamant
Item: life orb
Atk-252/Sp.D-252/Def-6

First impression - high priority, main move with stab

Aqua jet - secondary move with stab, lower priority but still good for late game cleaning with a life orb

Sucker punch - third priority move, alternative option for threats like deoxys if you've already used up first impression

Leech life - for longevity, regain enough health and you are set up for a third use of first impression

Protect - extra defensive capabilities, and can be used with leftovers as an alternative for regaining health

Sword dance - the extremely rare occasion you get a free turn where you aren't punished for being increasingly annoying

Highly offensive attack stat, stacked with priority moves, bulky defense capable of taking a hit, activating the ability (emergency exit) setting up a second chance to use first impression.
Two well placed first impressions can easily get you two KOs, carrying its own weight with enough power left to help set you ahead. Might not seem to threatening at first but is definitely a game changer when things come down to the wire in very intense battles

This is not in the high end of the ubers :p

Not meant to be thrown out against anything and stay in battle for very long, should only be attacking if it is for supper effective damage. More of a specific tool to deal with threats like darkrai and deoxys mainly

Think more along the lines of suicide lead graninja lol it's an uber.. But just barely

It is nothing like suicide lead graninja other than being meant for one specific purpose. Graninjas is to set up spikes, golisopods is to take care of fast hard hitting threats with lower defensive stats.

He is a nonuber, like graninja, megascizor, skarmory, non mega blazikin, aegislash, etc

understatement of the year

if you want priority use ekiller or mega lucario thanks
+3 priority 90 damage bug move with stab is an awful powerful move to just write off as inadequate. It doesn't work the same way extreme speed does, you can only use it the first turn golisopod is out so of course I wouldn't waste it on anything it wouldn't one hit KO. Deoxys and darkrai being my main two examples

Aqua jet primal Groudon would be your best option.. But if you think putting a lower end physical attacker against a monster defensive wall like groudon will yield results I'll just take your word for it. I personally wouldn't use golisopod against walls, just high speed low defensive threats like deoxys, darkrai, tapu koko, graninja, lucario, pheramosa, gengar, and blaziken. Anything that's more defensive than that group there is probably not a good match up

I think it is fairly obvious that golisopod is not on the same level as these legendaries. But neither are suicide lead graninja, mega gangar, mega scizor, aegislash, blaziken, or landorus.. But they are still ubers, for the specific role they play

This wasn't reserved or approved, probably broke a rule or two, and to put it simply, Golisopod ain't viable. If you believed it was then there are channels to go through to get it approved for an analysis (and it would require far more depth than this thread), but creating a thread like this isn't one of them. You might wanna read the rules of the forums, and then the rules/regulations of the subforum you decide to post in before doing anything else. welcome to smogon!
