Turning the sound off on the Wii Remote

How do you do it? I've read reviews on games where they mention turning the sound off on your Wii Remote, but it doesn't say how and I want to turn the sound of on mine. HALP
 
When in a game, press Home on the Wiimote, then select the Wiimote option. There is a volume control slider, just move that to what you want and that Wiimote will stay like that for every game until you change it yourself.
