Introduction

In this meta, Trick Room is really hard to play. In fact, the trick room last only 4 turns, you have to use one turn to place it, and it's difficult to build around. But I love Trick room team anyway, it's funny to play, and that can destroy an unprepared team.

Teambuilding Process

I tried to build around M-Ampharos, so I began the team with as base the core M-Ampharos / Bronzong. In fact, Ampharos is an excellent Trick Room abuser, thanks to his little speed and his capacity to chek flaying spam. I chose Bronzong because they are complement each other well, and bronzong is a good Trick Room setter.

I had a problem against Weavile and Mold breaker excadrill. I chose to put Crawdaunt in the team, beacause he can revenge kill those 2 pokemon, and is one of the greatest Trick Room abuser of the game.

I need other Trick Room setters, I tried Diancie because of her fairy type, her bulk pretty good, and her capacity to check dark type, and charizard X notably.

Cofagrigus is another Trick Room setter, and he's also a trick room abuser with Nasty Plot. I chose him for his ability to check Medicham, Azumarill and Lopunny, especially thanks to mummy.

Finaly, I thought I need more priority, moreover, I didn't want to be too dependant on the Trick Room, and I wanted somethig to deal with Steel and fairy. That why I chose Entei, who could abuse the Te trick room against fast pokemon, but also make something outside of it

The Team

Quiet Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SpA / 1 Spe
Volt Switch
Hidden Power [Grass]
Dragon Pulse
Focus Blast

I built the team around M-Ampharos, the EV repart is a classical full HP full SpA, this repart alow him to take one earthquake from excadrill scarf. Volt Switch is here for the momentum, it's pretty useful when you need to pass the trick room to another pokemon. Focus Blast is here to hit a lot of mon like Tyranitar, Excadrill, Heatran or Ferrothorn. Finally, I pu HP Grass because of Quagsire and others Bulky Water-Ground.

Trick Room
Hidden Power [Ice]

Bronzong is one of my favorite Trick Room setter of the game. The Focus Sash is here to be sur to put the trick room, even if a dangerous sweeper is already set up. It's an offensive repart, in fact, Bronzong can OHKO Heatran with earthquake or make a lot of damage to any fast pokemon with Gyroball. Finally, He's a good switch in to Landorus and Garchomp for exemple, Hidden Power Ice can 2HKO or 3HKO them.

Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
Superpower
Crabhammer
Knock Off
Aqua Jet

Crawdaunt is a big WallBreaker, and only a few pokemon, like Altaria-mega, can switch in on him. It's a classical repart, 248 HP to take less damages on LO, I also gave him Superpower, because of Mega-Gyarados, Who can destroy my team after a DD if there is not Trick Room.

Trick Room
Nasty Plot
Shadow Ball
Hidden Power [Fighting]

Cofagrigus is another Trick Room setter. I love him for Mummy, Which can check perfectly a lot of pokemon, Altaria mono attaker for exemple cannot make anything after he tuch cofagrigus with return. It's a classical repart of Cofagrigus Nasty Plot, I prefer Hidden Power Fighting on him, for pokemon like Bisharp, Lopunny and Tyranitar, and because Ghost + Fight have a perfect coverage.

Diamond Storm
Stealth Rock

Moonblast
Trick Room

The last Trick Rom setter, who put the stealth rock too. It's also a classical repart, The mental herb is here for the taunter like Gengar. I didn't put Explosion on her because Diamond storm is really usefull for Charizard and Gengar, and Moonblast for Mega Sableye, dark and fighting type. I never felt the lack of explosion, but I can understood if you say that is better.

Entei @

Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
Sacred Fire
Will-O-Wisp

Extreme Speed
Iron Head

Finally, Entei is here to have a fire pressure for pokemon like Ferrothorn and Scizor. He is played full speed to be played out of the trick room, adamant to make a lot of damage. I choose Will-O-Wisp for bisharp who can sweep the entire team after a Sword Dance, and it's easy for him because he can deal with all the trick room setters of the team. Iron head is here for bulky Altaria-Mega (who can stall bronzong with roost) and to hit Diancie.

Threatlist

altaria.png
gyarados-mega.png
azumarill.png
breloom.png
venusaur-mega.png

Defensive M-Altaria is really hard to pass for my team, because he can wall easy Bronzong, and can 2HKO cofagrigus if he's played with Hyper voice. Only Entei can win his duel.
M-Gyarados is really hard to beat too. If the trick room is not set up, only Crawdaunt can resist to an hit a kill after that with Superpower, and that's only a lure, so it's important to pay attention.
I Have no switch in to Azumarill Bander if he's played with knock off, And if the belly drum is set up, he can make a lot of damage to the team if there is not the trick room.
Breloom is really hard to pass too, i have nothing to absorb the spore, and he can make a lot of damages on the team thanks to priority and Bullet seed. But it may be just me, I hate this thing.
With nothing to hit him with super effective move, it's quite difficult to beat M-Venusaur.

Conclusion
It's a funny team to play. It have a great mach up against the Hyper Offense, and the Stall can also be beaten thanks to the wallbreaker and set up sweepers of the team.
Have fun !

Hello! As a Trick Room-aholic myself, it's always good to see threads like these.

My first suggestion for you is to actually try this team out in UU. None of your mons are OU, so your team is perfectly legal there. It's almost a bit of a shame, since there are a lot of OU mons that perform incredibly well under Trick Room. As as example, Volcanion has the potential to do most of Entei's roles, while also threatening mons such as Heatran, Charizard Y, Hippowdon, Tyranitar, and many others. All such mons have the potential to seriously annoy your team. It also has the advantage of being a water immunity. The set is here:

volcanion.gif

Spicy Funyun (Volcanion) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Steam Eruption
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave
This set have the advantage of pressuring defensive Mega Altaria, which you have listed as one of your greatest threats. Sludge Wave from Volcanion is a 2HKO.

252+ SpA Volcanion Sludge Bomb vs. 248 HP / 96 SpD Mega Altaria: 190-224 (53.8 - 63.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

The loss of priority and a fast mon outside of Trick Room might hurt, but Volcanion also possesses significant physical bulk which should somewhat mitigate that.

I can also suggest you experiment with a different mon, Mega Gardevoir, to replace Diancie. You said yourself that your biggest threats are Mega Altaria, Mega Gyarados, Azumarill, Breloom, and Mega Venusaur. Mega Gardevoir under Trick Room beats all of them. Yes, Mega Gardevoir does have a base 100 speed, but with anti-investment it actually underspeeds things like Breloom, Bisharp, and some Azumarill variants. Here is the set. (I did not make the set, it was made by Jojobobo).

gardevoir-mega.gif

Old Yeller (Gardevoir-Mega) @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
You will notice a power difference over Diancie immediately. This thing performs amazing feats of nature like having the chance to OHKO things like Landorus-T, Rotom Wash, and even Slowbro after rocks - all three of those mons absorb a Moonblast and give Diancie trouble. Mega Gardevoir can also overpower things like Clefable, Mew, Celebi, and other "bulky" mons, 2HKOing many variants after rocks. You'll also notice that it improves your matchup against Stall, given that it straight up murders everything except Chansey and Skarmory with Iron Head - and it outspeeds without even having to set up Trick Room.

Of course, if you make this switch, you will have to migrate Stealth Rocks over to your Bronzong, which means you'll have to give up a coverage move. Still, I think such a switch will be beneficial.

Thanks a lot for your advice. I'll try volcanion instead of Entei, that also give me an answer against Altaria and Azumarill.
In terms of gardevoir, I think it's a good idea to play it, but I will have to replace M-Ampharos too, and I don't know how i can replace it, so if you have an idea I'm interested !

I suggest you try a specially defensive Zapdos set. Your team has no defogger, and one of your mons is weak to rocks. Zapdos also allows you to deal with hazard stackers.

zapdos.gif

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 64 Def / 180 SpD / 16 Spe
Calm Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Roost
- Heat Wave
- Defog
The special defense would help, as your team is a bit specially soft. Also, Heat Wave is good Fire coverage with all the Steels running around. And it hits stuff like Scizor and Mega Metagross super effectively. Your team doesn't really need Dragon coverage when you have Fairy coverage.
