Trick Room: A Ragtag group of slowpokes. (B/W OU Trick Room Team)

Hello guys. Today, I'm bringing you my Trick Room Team that I've been using for about...maybe 3-4 months now? I dunno but I know it's been a pretty long time. Now, two things you should know before you pass judgement. #1, with this team, I've won about 35-40% of my matches, and #2, I decided too go with a realism approach and not give multiple pokemon the same item, like two pokemon with Leftovers for example. So with that, let's begin.

Dusknoir (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Trick Room
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
- Shadow Punch

This has been my lead for as long as the team's been around. He's your standard lead Trick Room setter (if setter is even a word). I always go for Trick Room on the first turn, but the next move, I either switch out, or decide too use Will-O-Wisp too inflict burn and hopefully have it help me later on in the fight. Pain Split is for unreliable healing (But healing is always nice) And Shadow Punch is an emergency STAB move. Pretty basic stuff.

Emboar (M) @ Shell Bell
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Flare Blitz
- Hammer Arm
- Rock Slide
- Wild Charge

One of many Trick Room Sweepers. Not much I can say about him other then his attacks have broad type coverage. Flare Blitz is standard STAB, Rock Slide and Wild Charge are both coverage, and Hammer Arm is both STAB, and a speed increase, considering Trick Room reverses the turn order from slowest too fastest.

Reuniclus (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 172 HP / 32 Def / 252 SAtk / 52 SDef
Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Trick Room
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball

A sort of Trick Room setter/Special Sweeper. Again, not much too say except he serves a double purpose. Trick Room is self explanatory, and his other 3 moves are a STAB and 2 for type coverage. I guarantee you this will be sort of a running theme in this team.

Slowbro (M) @ Wise Glasses
Trait: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Trick Room
- Slack Off
- Surf
- Psychic

Sort of the same thing with Reuniclus cept this time, he has a healing move with Slack Off...and much more bulky, Other then that, they might as well be the same. Another Trick room setter with two STABs

Ferrothorn (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs:
Hardy Nature
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball
- Bulldoze
- Spikes

I added this guy too my team because I heard that he one ups Foretress by having some sort of attacking ability in Gyro Ball, so I added him too my team in hopes it being a major force of my team. Well, for some reason, it hasn't been doing that well. Maybe Trick Room's screwing around with the damage output, I dunno. But despite that, it's yet another Trick Room Sweeper with 2 STABs, 1 attack for type coverage, and I also added Spikes cause knowing how bulky he is, he can get off a few Spikes.

Marowak (M) @ Thick Club
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Double-Edge
- ThunderPunch
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch

Oh hey look, another Trick Room Sweeper. But this time, he's different...in his own way. Thick Club is a pokemon specific hold item that doubles Marowak's physical attack, so despite how Marowak sounds, his attack is around the 500 mark. Other then that, it's just a 1 STAB, 3 type coverage attacks pokemon, because we can't just get enough of this.

Well, this is my little crew of misfits. Care too give me your thoughts?

I'd suggest dropping Ferrow for a Escavalier. He's a very slow Bug-Steel type with more attack then Scizor. His one downside is his speed, but since this is a Trick Room team that shouldn't be a issue.

The biggest problem I see with trick room teams is the fact that trouble will show up if trick room is not activated. Another problem I see is that leads with taunt can/will hurt you.

I would replace Dusknoir with Dusclops@Eviolite for a better mixed wall. And instead of shadow punch, use shadow sneak to give priority.

Also put out ferrothorn's ev spread and possibly put T-Wave over Bulldoze to help out when Trick Room isnt up.

Excuse a potential blond moment here, but what do you mean by 'putting out ferrothorn's EV spread'?

Trick Room :D
The best coverage for Marowak is the EQ-Stone Edge-Fire Punch Combo, and then either Double Edge to hit Gliscor harder or Low Kick for awesome coverage. T-Punch is overall redundant.

I recommend Head Smash over Rock Slide and Expert Belt on Emboar. Rock Slide is too weak for Trick Room; you must deal as much damage as possible in the few short turns you have. Head Smash does have recoil and accuracy issues, but it's power will make it better in TR. Since Emboar has great coverage, Expert Belt maximizes damage done. The lack or unreliable recovery (ie shell bell) doesn't matter: sweepers deal damage first and worry about recovery when they're in the hospital.

Your Pokemon have good move pools, which is the backbone of Trick Room teams, and I love your use of uncommon Pokemon. As for changes, try adding an ice type move of some kind. Even form a weak Pokemon it can OHKO Garchomp, Salamance, Gliscor, Flygon, and some other common Pokemon. You might also want to add Taunt or Stealth Rock to a Pokemon for added support to your team.
Good Luck, Dragone
