I'm not really sure what tier this team falls into, but here it is anyway:
Drapion @ scope lens
Impish (+Def/-Sp.Atk)
54 Atk - 152 Def - 152 HP - 152 Spe
Drapion @ scope lens
Impish (+Def/-Sp.Atk)
54 Atk - 152 Def - 152 HP - 152 Spe
Toxic Spikes
Taunt
Night Slash
Cross Poison
The basic idea with drapion is to taunt the opponent's lead, then set up two layers of toxic spikes for the bad poison. with only one resistance she is difficult to take down in one hit with her high base Defence, and can then strike back with two STAB moves which will land 3x damage critical hits 25% of the time. this alone makes Drapion a dangerous opponent. A downside is that she's quick, but not fast enough to counter some leads like ambipom and the like, who can easily set up their moves before switching out. also, if drapion fais to stop the opponent setting up entry hazards, i have no way of getting rid of them
Blaziken @ choice band/scarf
Jolly (+Spe/-Sp.Atk)
252 Atk - 4 HP - 252 Spe
Flare Blitz
Brave Bird
Thunderpunch
Low Kick
Blaziken is my physical sweeper, and he is capable of dishing out a huge amount of damage if he switches in at the right time. his moveset (i think) lets him get super or neutral hits on everything, and, with the toxic spikes support, he can just about kill anything with flare blitz. the recoil damage can be useful in activating blaze, although blaziken doesn't normally last that long, though he makes a brilliant revenge killer. His defences don't stand up to much, so in the unlikely event that something does survive a flare blitz, he will usually go down quite swiftly (having taken sizeable recoil from the move, and possible entry hazards)
Gyarados @ Life Orb
Jolly (+Spe/-Sp.Atk)
252 Atk - 98 Spe - 84 Def - 76 HP
Waterfall
Rest
Sleep Talk
Dragon Dance
Gyarados is an interesting memeber of the team, functioning as both a sweeper and a staller. the RestTalk combo works wonders against lots of opponents, and gyarados is bulky enough to take a hit or two. She has problems with dragon/flying types such as salamence, who won't take damage from toxic spikes and who resist waterfall, and if she gets taunted the strategy falls apart, but with toxic spikes she can stall out types which she can't hit normally. however, waterfall will hit neutral or supereffective on 14 of the 17 types, losing out against water, grass and dragon. also, an electric type can cause problems, but i can switch her out if i think she is in danger. also, if all else fails, i can just stall and wait for toxic spikes to KO
Magnezone @ light clay/leftovers
Modest (+Sp.Atk/-Atk)
90 Sp.Atk - 140 Sp.Def - 140 Def - 140 HP
Flash Cannon
Thunderbolt
Reflect
Light Screen
Magnezone is basically my remedy for a lot of things, with it's 13 resistances and good defences it can switch into almost any attack without fear, and then either strike back with STAB moves or set up the screens. Originally I was going to run explosion in place of flash cannon on Magnezone, but then i got a modest magnemite with a perfect Sp.Atk IV, and i thought i should go for the two STABs instead. sadly, it gets completely destroyed by earthquake, although 50% of the time it can survive a non-stab earthquake normally, or a STAB one through reflect. reflect and light screen really help to support this team. magnezone can take down most of its threats with reflect up, and can hit most types with Electric - Steel STAB moves.
Glaceon @ Leftovers
Bold (+Def/-Atk)
168 HP - 168 Sp. Atk - 100 Sp.Def - 72 Def
Ice Beam
Protect
Wish
Mirror Coat
Glaceon is an interesting member of the team. ice is a great attacking type, and glaceon's high base 130 Sp. Atk combined with Reasonable bulk make her quite a powerful attacker. Protect - Wish combo can be used to heal Galceon or any other team members, and makes switching in much easier. As a general rule, she can survive most special moves, and people rarely see mirror coat coming, which (with some prediction) usually allows glaceon a free KO, after which she can heal herself with Wish - Protect again. What's more, glaceon makes a really good counter for dragon types, since a lot of the OU dragons are 4x weak to ice (grachomp, dragonite, salamence etc.). teh only real problem with glaceon is if she takes a supereffective fire or fighting type move, which, without screen support, she rarely survives. Lucario is her nemesis
Spiritomb @ Sitrus berry / Rowap berry/ lagging tail if use trick
Bold (+Def/-Atk)
90 Sp Atk - 168 Sp.Def - 168 HP - 84 Def
Attract/Trick
Shadow Ball
Hidden Power Fighting
Confuse Ray
Last but not least, spiritomb brings a good sp attacker with bulk, who can confuse and attract opponets for maximum longevity. the sitrus berry heals her if she gets low, or the rowap berry deals damage out to opponents who attack 'tomb with special attacks. hidden power fighting makes spiritomb a counter for normal types, who she can switch into freely. also, she can switch into fighting attacks aimed at glaceon, as well as psychic attacks aimed at blaziken, and can then hit both of those types back for super damage. STAB shadow ball makes a nice attacking move, and a 65ish power HP fighting isn't too bad for dispatching normal and steel types. confuse ray is just there to be annoying, and since it never misses it does its job well, attract can be used against male opponents, combined with confuse ray means spiritomb can be really useful for stalling and waiting for the toxic spikes to do their job
So, any suggestions as to how i could improve this team would be much appreciated, I have tried to make it as balanced as possible, although the lack of rapid spin is quite a problem. any ideas on how i could fit that in would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, sorry for any typos in the thread :p
also, sorry the image of blaziken is so big, for some reason it refused to resize :/
